"Robert was fantastic to work with and did a great job...  He's on time, flexible (I had to reschedule), takes pride in his work, explains everything he's planning to do and why, inspected the rest of the brick house and made suggestions that will save me $ in the future, prices seemed good to me (better than another quote I had), cleaned up after he was done.  Will definitely call on him in the future and have no reservations in recommending him.

"We had three estimates and Roger was our clear choice because he noticed so many important things that needed fixing that the other two missed. His higher level of expertise was obvious. This work included many projects, involving a tremendous amount of labor. It took several weeks to totally complete. Roger offered suggestions for our front steps, which could have been left as concrete but we decided to splurge and use our favorite rock as an overlay. We special ordered Morton Gneiss (rock) from Coldspring for the step overlays and the buttress caps, in addition to the special order of two colors of brick for the buttresses. We personally researched and chose the rock and the brick. Roger has the experience and expertise to know what should be done and how best to do it. We enjoyed meeting and working with Roger and his crew. He has the most amazing crew of extremely experienced and expert workers. We can't say enough good things about Curtis, Chris, and Chaz. Their work was remarkably meticulous and skilled and showed the pride they take in it. In addition, they are very personable and courteous. They tidied up before leaving each day. If they came upon unforeseen problems, they discussed them with us and then fixed them, some at no extra charge. They even prepared a base and moved the two former heavy concrete buttress caps to our boulevard to use as a walkway at no charge. As a potential customer, if Roger doesn't get back to you right away, don't give up because he does return calls and he is most definitely worth the wait. He is extremely busy and we feel very fortunate that he was the contractor for our project."

"We were replacing our aluminum siding due to hail damage and wanted to update the front of our house with Stone Veneer. Len was extremely helpful offering stone color / style suggestions and working with the contractor who was replacing our siding. Len was responsive and flexible to come out (many times) to walk through what we were trying to do. HIs suggestions on how to handle corners, cap stones, cutting exterior trim boards and reinforcing the wall board under the siding were invaluable. Roman and Serge did the installation. These guys are true craftsmen. They artfully selected the individual stone pieces (size, shape, color) to build the veneer. The results were outstanding! We highly recommend Len and his crew for Stone Veneer work!"

"In The Rough Stonework & Landscaping built us a beautiful greenhouse foundation that has knee-high stone walls and a cement floor. The floor has slight slope with weep holes on the low end, perfect for keeping the floor dry. They also put in a patio that wraps around the greenhouse and made it with a mix of different bricks/stones. Our greenhouse/patio is now a perfect place for gardening and lounging. On another project they made us a flag-stone patio with a stone stairway through the garden allowing easy access to our yard. In The Rough Landscaping does quality work with an eye for detail and they do it at a great price, I would highly recommend Lester Avalos and his crew."

Once we selected the stone, Jamie made a site visit to measure the fireplace and walk us through the process. From the day we signed the contract to the date of the install, he was prompt and courteous. The mason crew Jamie works with, were prompt, courteous and did outstanding work. We couldn’t be happier with the finished project. The fireplace is a now beautiful focal point in our living room. I would highly recommend Fireside Hearth and Home.
