"I contacted Indiana Foundation to check my foundation and crawl space due to a crack in my brick wall. I received a thorough inspection, The rep showed me pictures of the findings and provided an understandable explanation regarding the condition of the foundation and the crawl space. I contracted with Indiana Foundation for push piers to stabilize and raise the foundation. They completed most of the project this week. They we unable to complete one side of the house because the natural gas line is right next to the foundation. When the gas company moves the line the remainder of the project can be competed. I received excellent service by foreman Charles and all the work crew; Daniel, Ryder, Ross, and Pete. They were efficient completing the work. Charles was especially excellent with his communication, keeping me informed during the days of work by the crew."

"I had the apron of my driveway and five sections of sidewalk replaced. They tore out the old concrete and cleaned all the debris and did a very nice job replacing all the concrete. They put back the sod that was removed and left the area looking very good. They communicated with me during the job to let me know what was being done. I would recommend them."

"Acculevel did a super job for us! We have a house that was built in 1902 with a small crawl space. They fixed ALL our problems and did NOT have to tear up the floors. "Vendor could provide foundation service, but not one of the other services we requested (simply not a service this vendor performs); we therefore chose a different path. Vendor provided a detailed and valuable foundation report that was essential towards our efforts, so we are very grateful for that. We will seriously consider this vendor for future work."

"I've done construction basically all my life and they are no. 1 in my book.  I don't think I can find a better company in my area.  I called eight contractors and they were the only one who returned my call within an hour.  They are wonderful and I will recommend them to anyone."

FAQs for concrete foundation raise projects in Scotland, IN

On average, it takes two to seven days to physically raise your house. However, this does not include the preparation work, which is often the most lengthy process. The entire project, including preparation, obtaining permits, disconnecting utilities, and any subsequent landscaping, can take four to eight weeks. This timeline ensures everything is done safely and that your home remains structurally sound.

If proper safety protocols are not followed, raising a house can cause severe damage, as the process involves applying controlled force to the home's structure. The risks involved make it crucial to hire a skilled contractor who uses engineered methods to secure your home and prevent any harm to your household.

If your foundation shows signs of instability after raising your home, you might need to add structural support. A structural engineer can assess your foundation and recommend reinforcements to ensure your house stays stable and safe for the long term. Available support options include installing additional piers or pilings, reinforcing existing footings, or using steel beams to distribute the load more evenly.

You will need a structural engineer to assess your home before you begin. These professionals determine whether your house is suitable for lifting and identify any issues that could compromise its stability. Their expertise ensures that the project is designed correctly and all risks are managed to achieve a successful lift.
