"I Had a phenomenal experience with John and his team. I had called to get an estimate and see if what I visioned was possible and John not only got right back to me but within a timely manner they were ready to start! The team was very polite and accommodating to my schedule and expectations. John was patient with last minute changes on my end and didn’t treat me as a customer but a friend. The remodel turned out better than I had imagined and I am still in disbelief how my home looks! I will 100% be calling them again when I’m ready to tackle the basement renovation! "

"Ron visited us and clearly explained all the options. The next day he called us with a quote that specified exactly the work to be done. <br /> On day one, Rick arrived to install the door. He did a masterful job and left the place completely clean at the end of the day. The next day Carlos, Ron's glass block installer, arrived on time and stayed late to keep to the schedule Ron had outlined for us. The next day he also arrived at the agreed upon time and completed the installation exactly as Ron had outlined. We're delighted with the quality of work we received from Eastern Glass Block. Ron is a terrific businessman. <br />"

"We don't write reviews but this case warrants an exception. We chose Belles Construction because of their untarnished reputation for excellence.  Our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. Our last project was completed in less than two days  The quality was impeccable.  Price was very reasonable.  Clean-up was amazing.  You would not be able to tell they were there when the work was finished. <br /> Bob Belles uses his own staff of highly skilled employees rather than consigning work to subcontractors.   There were no hidden extras.  The company  has received a number of awards based on their quality.  They were featured  on the cover of the National CertainTeed Siding Product Catalog and were included multiple times in Qualified Remodeler and Remodeler Magazine.   They have numerous advanced certifications including the CertainTeed 5 Star Siding Award and the Select Shingle Master certificate. They are skilled in all phases of construction. <br /> We will be using them for several additional remodeling projects in 2015.  Bob is a "hands on" contractor and makes sure that you're satisfied with his work.    He came to our home three times to help us with our plans, to explain in detail what his team would be doing and the materials they would be using.  We were given an item-by- item proposal broken down by cost per item.  You can be confident that your project is in good hands.  We highly recommend them. <br />"

"Mr. Kozlansky was a pleasure to work with, scheduling was very easy and prompt, and the cleaning was thorough. He explained what he was doing and ho to reduce creosote buildup. Mr. Kozlansky also put down drop cloth to keep the carpet clean. Very happy with Complete Chimney service, have had them do the annual cleaning several times."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Scranton, PA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
