"Arthur was very quick to respond to my request for an estimate. He brought his tile contractor with him and it was clear to me that they were very knowledgeable. I had two previous professionals(?) that had been to my property to clean and seal the slate tile in the shower. They both did a terrible job, overcharged me, and I was left with loose tiles and mineral deposits all around the edges of my shower. Arthur gave me a fair estimate to correct the problems left behind. His contractor arrived the following morning and did an amazing job in just a few hours of cleaning, resetting a new slate tile, and regrouting the entire shower. "From the initial estimate to the completion of the work, it was a pleasure using Ken and his assistant Warren. They started when they said they would and stayed a bit longer than planned to make sure they had thoroughly cleaned up around the work area. Prior to starting the process, they placed protective covers and tarps over the adjacent floor areas. They were careful to contain the grinding slurry using a wet vac to remove excess material. It took repeated passes with the finer and finer grit pads to achieve the final results, but my wife and I are very pleased with the outcome. Even the other tradesmen working in the house were impressed with the improvement. In addition to the refinishing, Ken took time to offer suggestions on maintaining the floor finish along with warnings about what cleaning practices should be avoided."

We had 3 bids all through Angie's List, one of the companies Granite Outlet II that  we had used before. The other two bids were from Solid Stone Fab. and KAT Fab

Most of the bids were similar, except all of the companies provided different prices for removal, sink cutout, plumbing for rehook-up of sink, and rehooking up stove top.

Granite Outlet II had a plumber in-house. Solid Stone had a recommendation for a plumber and KAT didn't provide a recommendation.

We kept our backslash and KAT was the only company that had an issue with cutting it down if needed. And it was cut to allow for the quartz.

We chose Solid Stone Fabricators because we trusted Claudia to do a good job for us. She was very attuned to our needs and anytime we asked her a question if she didn't already know it she got right back with us. She took good notes and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. She was very professional and a pleasure to work with. We went to see the where the countertops were fabricated at Solid Stone and we also went to Cambria Quartz in Carrollton and looked at the Quartz we wanted and received large samples there.

They came out and measured and showed up on time, then we scheduled for the install.

The installers showed up at their scheduled time and finished in less then 5 hours. The next morning the plumber came and hooked the sink and stove back up.

Claudia came out a few days later and bought us our extra quartz. its VERY heavy but we wanted to keep it and they also made us a cutting board.

"Fernando and his team was prompt and on time for the agreed appointment time. Burgess Carpet cleaning uses a dry cleaning process.   I was very skeptical of a dry cleaning product as this was the first time we used this.  They explained the dry cleaning process very thoroughly and compared it to the other water  / steam pressure and oxy cleaning type systems.    The product that was used is called Host, looks like moist sawdust and is dispensed by hand distribution.  They used a brush type machine that works the product deep into the carpet.  I took many pictures during the work process as I was amazed at what I was seeing.  At times they used a citrus based enzyme cleaner with a pump spray.  We had pets about 8 months ago but the stains from them remained. My carpet is a very light colored cream carpet throughout our home and is 10 yrs old.
I have had the carpet cleaned by an oxy clean system, but the wear tracks and stains eventually reappeared.  I also had cleaned the carpets twice using the rental machines from the home improvement stores before Fernando was hired.  Again, the stains were reduced by cleaning, but they remained and the odors remained.
The final step in the process involved vacuuming the Host product.  I could not believe that the carpet was looking white clean as they vacuumed.  Fernando mentioned that the carpet was now restored to new condition and that is the best way to describe the results.  The carpet was not only white clean but the fibers were not laying down flat any longer and the carpet felt very soft with bare feet.  
We plan to use Burgess Carpet cleaning annually to keep the carpet looking and feeling clean.

"Cleaning went fine but was not happy with the quality of the work due to sitting water being left to dry and was told for the price I paid that is what I get. The tech should have dry mopped the areas in my opinion. Big improvement to the tile & grout but professionalism was missing."
