"L J Stone offered a large variety of styles and colors to choose from.  They did a beautiful job, on time, and better than I imagined.  The workers were friendly, courteous, and professional.  While measuring for the project, the employee noticed my old tub "gave" and had a mushy feel.  At no additional cost to me, they added a new acryllic tub to the contract.  During removal of my old tub, they saw that my outside wall was not insulated, so they added insulation before installing the new tub even though it was not in the contract to do so. I feel they went above and beyond.   My bath is beautiful!  I am very pleased with the look and would recommend L J Stone to anyone who wants a lovely and professional job done. <br />"

"this is the second time we have had Legacy work on our home. Our home was built in 1992 and the windows and doors were not looking as good as we wanted. This time around we replaced 12 windows and two doors. Legacy also painted a fence for us and replaced some cedar that was bad"

"The technician was on time and professional. He climbed up on the roof and examined it. He reported that there was no damages, but a couple of shingles needed repair. He repaired the loose shingles for no charge This service gave me great confidence in the firm. I would use them in the future."

"DC Roofing & Exteriors did a fantastic job of working with our insurance to get most of this project covered when we had been denied by them twice. Once on the job they were great. They took our old roof off, fixed some boards underneath, and put the new roof on in the same day. Our gutters were done a week or so later. It all looks great."

"Excellent service. Prompt reply to email request for on site estimate and prompt visit to home for measuring and discussion on type of fencing best for the property. The weather did not cooperate on starting the job, but as soon as weather permitted work began and it only took two days. The old fence and posts were removed and new posts installed on day one and new four-foot link was installed with re enforcement along the bottom keeping the escape artist dog safely confined. The results are great. All trash and scraps were removed. Not only does the property look good the quality of the materials and work is excellent. The crew and Mr. Gonzalez were professional and respectful and the owner was on premises each day for the duration of the job. This company does construction from a new build to small jobs. I know when I need anything else done, I will call them first. <br />"

"The salesman was very professional. When asked he gave us advice on choices...the pros' and cons'. Would absolutely buy from them again. Their crew of two installed the awning and exterior shade screen. Again very professional made sure we knew the operation of awning and screen before they left. A full five star rating for both their sales man and installers."

"Went great. Dennis at Honorable Home Repairs was at my neighbors house replacing shingles. I went over and asked him if he had time to do the same at my house. He came over when he was finished and repaired my roof."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Servia, IN

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
