"The cracked pipe ended up being between the first and second floor where drain pipes from the upstairs bathrooms came together in a Y-joint. The house is 45 years old and these old plastic pipes eventually crack from flexing, etc. which is exactly what had happened. Fred had to cut 10 inch wide strips in the drywall in the kitchen and bathrooms walls and ceilings to get at the area to replace the leak. He added some rubber sleeves to the new Y-joints to allow for some flexing of the house so this would not happen in the future. When all was done, the repair was $2300 and I had to hire a drywall contractor for another $500 to fix the drywall, but Fred was upfront about the price, the extent of the damage that would have to be done for the repair, and the need to fix the drywall after he left. While it really stinks to have to cough up almost $3K to for a leaking pipe, that's the cost of owning a home build in the 1970's with cheap materials and I was very impressed with the work done by Fred and his same day responsiveness. At least the leak was noticed right away so we did not have any water or mold damage to deal with."

"Mr. Rema arrived on time Sunday morning to update my water heater. He installed an expansion tank, duct work and replacing the piping to the thermostat on the water heater. He did an excellent job and took his time. Mr. Rema also went to the local hardware store twice to pick up the material that was needed.
