"I had noticed the soil on a lower level of the garden wet just over a week before I had it fixed. I could tell that it was from a pipe coming into the property from the water main and hate wasting water. 
I checked through Angie's List and Top Contender seemed to be the only company that had the qualifications for finding leaks on hillside properties. I called then on the Friday and the earliest they could fit me in was the following Wednesday. I was a little concerned as the leak was near a retaining wall near the sidewalk but as it wasn't getting worse I waited. 
Noél called to say he would be 30 mins late and he diagnosed where the pipe was in 15mins, uncovered it and saw that it had been soldered in numerous places already. He turned the water main off and I turned on all the cold water faucets. He vacuumed the water out, but it still took over an hour and a half for the water to completely drain from the pipes. Noél would not solder until there was no more water dripping.
The water he had vacuumed we emptied into a 40g drum I use for recycling and watering the garden. 
After hearing horror stories about the cost of repairing underground leaks I was extremely pleased with his price which included a senior citizens discount. I would DEFINITELY use Noél again for this type of job. Very professional and honest.

"main line blocked. purchased a deal on AL that work was done and no problem with that part. however, when quoting out a more intensive treatment for that main line they gave a price of over $500. I went back to A.L. and saw the same exact service for $211.00. we contacted them and they mailed out a quote for around $400. I don't get why they would have such a disparaging price difference"
