"Derek Correa has done several projects at our home— installation of recessed lighting in our living room, hooking up our gas powered generator to the breaker panel (one of the best things we’ve ever done), he has done small jobs like replacing light switches, fixing wiring problems we’ve had with some lighting; Any electrical work we need done we only call Derek. He is reliable and professional, prompt and trustworthy He is on time and he explains the process, shows up and finishes the job in a timely manner. Very easy to deal with. "

"Eric Gelmete Electric recently completed an electrical project at my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Eric added recessed lighting in the kitchen, dining room, and living room, installed new light fixtures and a ceiling fan, and updated all switches and plugs in my partially finished basement. He did an excellent job and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Eric showed up on time as promised and provided straightforward pricing with no surprises. I highly recommend Eric Gelmete Electric to anyone looking for quality, reliable electrical work."

"Bertie came out to look at the gate on a Wednesday night. He pointed out that he could also replace some wooden pickets on the fence which I needed to have done but didn't think about asking him as getting the gate repaired was more important. He came out on Friday morning and repaired the gate and replaced pickets as well as secure a section of fencing. He did a great job. Bertie was very polite and punctual. He kept in contact with me the entire time. I would definitely hire Bertie again and I highly recommend him."

FAQs for thermostat installation and replacement projects in South-weymouth, MA

Smart thermostats may be worth it for many homeowners. They come with various features, including voice control and smartphone apps. Vacation mode can help lower energy usage when you’re out of town for an extended period. Alert warnings let you know about major spikes or drops in temperature. Smartphone apps can track energy usage, and smart thermostats can learn your routine over time to adjust your temperature and reduce wasted energy consumption automatically.

You typically do not need more than one smart thermostat. While it’s common to see multiple mechanical thermostats throughout a large home, multiple smart thermostats may try to override each other. This can lead to problems with the HVAC system. Ensure the unit you buy has the option for dual- or multi-zoned systems to avoid compatibility issues.

Installing a programmable or smart thermostat may save you $180 per year in utility costs. A big part of this comes from a smart thermostat’s ability to learn and adapt to your regular routines. With smartphone apps or web-based interfaces, you also have the option to control your thermostat when you’re not home.
