"Jason came out on time and quickly diagnosed the situation. He was right on point and later Clayton came out to assist with cutting out the old pipe and installing the new PVC pipe with vent. Wonderful work at a great price!!! Both gents were great to work with and very professional and nice."

"The best word to describe the customer service is "WOW". Mike (owner) goes out of his way to provide the best possible customer service and he doesn't stop until he exceeds your expectations. Mike is an ex-Marine who brings that same discipline to his business to do the job right, down to the final inspection. I hired him based off other Angie List recommendations now I see why he has consistently been rated so highly. I had my entire HVAC system (compressor, gas furnace, blower, duct work, vents and thermostat) replaced. Mike recommended an affordable system to best fit my needs. His price beat another quote I'd gotten by $1,500. His installers have many years experience with HVAC and I always felt very comfortable dealing with them. I would definitely hire again if needed."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Spencer, NC

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
