"First, the responsiveness from Oscar at King General Contracting was outstanding. When he wasn't on site, he was readily available by phone, text and email. While Oscar was at my home performing a minor repair to my rain gutters, I inquired as to whether his company would be able to raise a concrete walkway and level or replace the wooden steps leading to the front porch. The walkway had sunk, pulling the steps down with it, due to compacted and eroded soil over many years. Oscar quickly explained the work involved, and that night sent me a contract detailing the work. I agreed to the contract and the work started a few days later. The work was completed quickly, and I had a level walkway and a rebuilt set of front steps by the afternoon of the first day. Improvements to the drainage were also performed to help eliminate further issues with the soil around the walk. It has made a huge difference in the accessibility to my front door, and I couldn't be more pleased."

John was faced with challenges with the fence post removal in that they were imbedded in rather large amounts of concrete that required extra efforts (steel pry bars and winch) to remove from the ground. John disposed of the fence posts and concrete remains as well. John also removed, replaced and disposed of twelve 2x10x48" pressure treated steps. Many of the steps required special handling and additional bracing installed due to the age and condition of the existing stair stringers. After the initial installation, John was asked to re-look at a couple of the stair treads, and he returned very promptly to return and make adjustments without complaint. John also removed the remnants of two 2x8' very old (and brittle) overhead semi-transparent panels over the rear deck. He replaced with new customer-provided polycarbonate panels of the same dimensions and hauled away the old remains. He also removed and disposed of several unwanted saplings that were growing at random and completed a major trim on an overgrown euonymus bush/tree to prevent damage to house siding and allow adequate airflow to an outside air-conditioning unit."

A misunderstanding on my part regarding the final payment was handled very professionally. Most importantly, I am really enjoying having hot water at a moment's notice! "Outstanding installation and good pricing for Carrier HVAC (Heat Pump) system replacement. Salesman was prompt and thorough, although he did not provide us any brochures, booklets, etc. Installer was courteous, experienced, knowledgeable, and professional. Took the time to ensure system was thoroughly operational, confirmed electrical requirements and changed breakers accordingly, cleaned up all debris, and explained operation to us. However, since he was new to McCarthy's, he did not have any installation or service stickers or other company material. The sales representative had promised the following to us, included in sales/order form: one year free service, service information and schedule, copy of registration with Carrier. Three months later, we have not received any communication or follow up from McCarthy's -- despite our calling, texting and emailing the sales rep and office. This is our primary concern: the lack of follow up and poor responsiveness."

"Heather Pfeifer in the last week Our HVAC system went out after 13 years and I had five different companies come out to give me a bid. Tim put together a proposal that couldn't be beat. Not only was his bid 20%-30% lower than all of the other companies, but he spent a lot of time answering my questions (I had an entire page!), carefully going every option but NEVER pushing me to purchase anything we didn't need. Moreover, told us of a great financing deal that would start the following week through TRANE (0% for 60 months). Since we fully expected our downstairs unit to conk out in the next year or two (same age), we decided to bite the bullet and replace both units, including our furnace. Tim helped us put together a hybrid unit that will significantly reduce our reliance on propane , which is so costly. Ultimately, our new systems are expected to reduce our energy bills by 20-30%. To top everything off, Tim had his crew come in the day before installation to clean all our ducts for free, and included 2 years of free service of both systems. He was beyond generous, and he went above and beyond to make the entire experience pleasant. The installation team (Bill, Jay, Mark, Richard) arrived on time and were nothing but professional and courteous. They spent the entire day installing the units, and were extremely careful to keep things clean and orderly. They were all super friendly and great with our dog, who thought she just made three new friends. At the end of the installation, they went over both systems with me, reviewed all of the paperwork/contracts, and walked me through our new hi-tech thermostat. They never tried to rush me as I asked them more questions, even after being here all day. I am so happy that it'll be one of these guys who will come out to service the units twice a year. In sum, I can not give a higher rating for Pope's Air - every single part of the process was handled professionally and with utmost courtesy and consideration. THANK YOU!!!"

"Now that I'm wobbly on ladders, this vendor comes annually to clear gutters and ensure the attachment pegs are secure before any snow or ice. I've used them for years and will continue to do so. The tech goes above and beyond. Two examples: one year, he replaced a missing shingle; another year, we caulked around an external roof vent. These guys are great."

"It went very well. The electrician, Danny, was excellent. When an opening in his schedule became available a day earlier than our planned appointment, he called to see if I wanted to take it. I found it much more convenient. As the company had requested, I had ordered and purchased the "fan" in advance. It was composed of parts that fit into the existing fan housing. Danny installed it, but found that style produced a rattling vibration which I did not want. He suggested a style that would perform better and cost only a little more. It included both the interior and exterior parts and dropped down from the roof into the attic. Although it was late in the day and extremely hot, he went to the hardware store, found the new type, and installed it. The cost of the job included the service and the new fan. He helped me pack up the other fan for return to the supplier and also gave me free advice about some unrelated wiring in the attic that was not up to code and would not pass inspection, if I had one in the future. The new fan has a thermostat and is working well."
