"He had to replace a copper pipe that went through the wall.  the pipe was corroded and was replaced with a plastic pipe.  <br /> Satisfied with the prompt repair.  He happened to be working a job in Mobile and must have come here on his lunch break. <br /> Anyway it didn't take him long.  He said he had "done that a few times!!" <br /> <br />"

"Jay called and let me know his estimated time he would arrive and he was here on the nose. I live with my elderly mother 91, and not having the bathrooms working was an immediate problem to say the least. He explained what he was going to do and how much it would cost. And was very knowledgeable, friendly and even my dobe thought she’d made a new best friend. Before long he had the mess broken up and flowing. All toilets were flushing and the pipe was cleared in no time. I couldn’t be happier! I would not hesitate to call them again if I have any other plumbing issues. My house is old and at some point I can see having to redo some of the plumbing and I know I will be using this company when the time comes. Thanks a million Jay!"

"Tom is a honest decent professional who is detail oriented and did not leave until he was sure both my hot water heater & furnace were working; he even changed the bulbs & adjusted the ceiling light for this short senior citizen. He has done work before for me and I have only good things to say about him! Even my beagle dog likes Mr. Tom! I know that should anything go wrong with the repairs (which I doubt) I know I can call Chris & Tom will arrive within a short time. Their prices are very affordable as Dirty Works gives a 15% senior discount, are licensed & bonded and very honest & dependable. I surely will tell my friends & family to call Dirty Works for their electrical needs. Very pleased & satisfied again with their work."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Stennis-space-center, MS

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
