"Pete came to the rescue! He is extremely resourceful, honest, and provides solid work. We saved a ridiculous amount of money by working with him! Since we began working on the pool in March, we were not in a time crunch to have the pool repaired and open, and therefore were super flexible with timing etc. We plan to hire Pete again to close/open our pool.

"We are new pool owners and we got stuck with a lot of electrical pool issues. We tried multiple people who were unable to figure out the problem and would charge for diagnostic and change something random and the problem would still continue. We finally found Javier and his team. They spent time figuring out what the exact problem was and fixed it the first time they came! We have been using them since then for every single thing regarding our pool including any repairs, renovations and maintenance. They are professional, reasonable and responsive. Would never go with anyone else!"

"I was super impressed with the flagstone work around my pool.  The guy that did it was one of the best I've seen. They worked extremely fast and got the job done.  The only thing I would say is be careful in selecting your pool liner.  I sent pictures of what I wanted but when I saw the small swatch it doesn't really show how it will look and since I am not a pool professional I couldn't tell. It would have been great if I could have seen it in a pool or a picture first.  I was disappointed with the pool color which was partly my fault in selecting it but I couldn't tell from that swatch. Overall the they seemed to be helpful and professional. I liked their employees and subcontractors.

"The service went fine. I had them install an outlet. I had to pay quite a bit more for the specific outlet I needed. Two electricians came out and completed the job in about 2 hours or so. They did a fine job. I had no problem scheduling the deal."

"I was searching Home Warranty providers after a bad experience with my 7 year, soon to be terminated "former" Fidelity Home Warranty service provider. Warranty service providers are essential, for they step in and "act" when life deals you an "Oh Crap" situation like your refrigerator suddenly quits. Every high dollar appliance in a home has a life span that will end whether your prepared for it or not. It's a common occurance that leads to unexpected higher debt concerns while you frantically attempt to save your food from going bad. Got a minimum of $1,700 to get a new one? A truck or a really good friend to borrow theirs to pick it up? Plus time to allow it to achieve proper temperature to transfer your temp sensitive food! Well if you haven't experienced this type of event, in your life, you will! I began by doing some easy research online like searching for best Home Warranty providers. I put some inquiries out to prospective providers and as expected, the sales calls began to ring on my phone. They all have why "they" are the best provider - so take notes and compare policies. Ask whether they cover swimming pools, septic systems, roof repairs etc. So my phone rings with an out-of-state area code and it's Zach from Choice Home Warranty. While on the call, this enthusiastic salesman hit all the "trigger" items I was looking for; *Annual Service Price *Price per claim deductable *Response time You know, all the "need to know" info that helps you make an informative decision. I started paying $550/year 7 years ago in 2014 with my old service provider. The per claim fee was $65. Today in 2022, it's $710/year and $85/claim. Was it worth it you ask? If I figure the math, my total cost over 7 years and only 4 claims was $4,450 or $636/year. This cost paid to replace my pools salt cell and chlorine generator ($1,800 in parts alone), 2 separate Air Conditioner repairs which replaced the coil fan motor, a circuit board replacement, system coil cleansing, relays and a capacitor. (No idea of how much my total cost would have been. I paid $65 twice. Nice huh?) 1 roof repair that replaced the "Cricket", which is a 15' roof section elevational change just below the ridge line. It's important to remember that these repairs don't include "hidden costs" which are personnel and service labor rates. Something you will pay for without a Warranty Service. Here's the best part of the call from this AWESOME salesman. He offered me 6 year "fully transferable", rate locked for life" service policy that when divided out by 6 is LESS THAN WHAT I WAS PAYING ANNUALLY, 7 YEARS AGO!!! So, is a Home Warranty plan a safe bet??? I have a 9 word answer for those without a Choice Home Warranty service plan. YOU BET YOUR DRIPPING SWEATY BUTT CRACK IT IS!!! Props to Zach, YOU DA MAN!!! "Weatherguard is a first-class waterproofing company who stands by their warranties. We used them to waterproof our 15,000 s.f. building and they have helped us resolve all of our water issues, which were extensive. When we had water return to an area, they totally redid the work , which to me is the ultimate test of any company. Weatherguard stands by their work and will be there when you need them. I chose them for their competitive pricing and great reviews, but honestly worried that when and if the time came for them to honor a warranty, I might be disappointed. I am happy to say that in that moment of truth, they showed up…big time! Thank you Angelique and Weatherguard."

FAQs for swimming pool or accessories repair or service projects in Stonecrest, GA

A pool light replacement often doesn't require draining the water. Most pool lighting systems include sufficient cable length to lift the fixture onto the deck for servicing. The process involves shutting off power at the circuit breaker, removing the mounting screw, and carefully extracting the unit. Professional technicians follow established protocols to maintain safety during this procedure, as the combination of electricity and water requires proper precautions throughout the replacement process.

Replacement intervals vary significantly by light type. Incandescent bulbs require changing every 1,000 to 5,000 hours of operation, while LED options can function for 20,000 to 30,000 hours before needing replacement. Fiber optic lighting falls between these extremes, offering close to 6,000 service hours. Your usage patterns will affect these timeframes, and regular inspection for moisture penetration or connection problems helps prevent premature failures regardless of light technology.

LED pool lighting commands higher prices because these fixtures incorporate sophisticated electronics, superior waterproofing, and premium materials to withstand harsh pool chemicals. The extended operational life—up to six times longer than conventional bulbs—offsets the initial investment over time. Their significantly reduced power consumption also translates to lower electricity expenses throughout their lifespan. Many LED systems also offer programmable color options and effects not available with basic lighting technologies.
