"I’m quite picky about who I work with, and as both a contractor and homeowner I have worked with Andre many times. If you want to work with an Eagle Scout who thinks things through and enjoys a hard day’s work, then Andre is your guy."

"Ideal Homes have me the lowest bid to do my basement at $45k. I worked with Travis, who was very knowledgeable and professional. He was able to answer all of my questions and address my concerns. As a person who doesn't ever deal with home upgrades or repairs, he was also patient in dealing with me. Ideal Homes did a great job, and I would absolutely work with them again and refer my friends. Thanks Trav!"

"Kirk is a perfectionist and soooo detail-oriented. He always kept us up to date about what was going to be done next, who would be here to do it, what supplies or fixtures or appliances had to be on site and when. He even told us what the other contractors needed to be aware of or look out for if he couldn't be here those times. He was very respectful of our house and property protecting other parts of the house or surfaces that were in place, cleaned up the job site at the end of every day so equipment wouldn't be in the way. He even made allowances for our dog when we couldn't be there. Being without a kitchen for several months is stressful, but with Kirk we knew it would be worth it because everything was done RIGHT. He encountered some issues which could not have been foreseen and worked on finding solutions so the project was seamless and flawless.

"The job went very well. From the first, Michael Burke, ie Burke's Enterprises, was very professional and responsive. Michael returned phone calls promptly and showed up when he said he would. When hiring someone to do work in my home, I prefer to talk to the person that will actually do the job. With Burke's Enterprises, that is exactly how it went. Michael Burke came out to access what needed to be done and gave us a detailed estimate. He showed up every day when he said he would. I was comfortable from the start having Michael in my home as well as leaving him alone to work. He had access to the house to come and go if I wasn't able to be there. Being in a remote location alone without too many contacts, this was a huge issue for me. Michael worked on each item until it was completed, no matter how long it took. His finish work is excellent and the job was done beyond my expectations. I would definitely hire Michael Burke again in the future and highly recommend him for any electrical or home repairs."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Stoneham, CO

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
