"We hired Sino-American General Contracting to build a porch for us in 2018. This was the fourth project we hired Mason to design and execute. As has been the case with all of his work, the results were outstanding. The deck is well constructed and beautiful. This is one of the best investments we have ever made. It has extended the living space in our home, allowing us to entertain outside 8-9 months of the year. During the pandemic, we have used the porch every day. Mason, working with an architect, conceived and executed the space with precision. He suggested details along the way that stayed within our budget, but ensured that the final product was exquisite. And, when you work with Mason you never have to worry about projects not being designed to code. He is exacting in his work. As soon as we can, we will hire him again to update an aging bathroom. He has become our go-to contractor for everything."

"I wasn't happy with him at all. He wanted his money before I had a chance to see the final product. He wasn't honest with me. I told him before he even started the job, I said that job has to be finished when I'm here to see the final product. He agreed to that. Then, the day that he was due to finish, I said, I'm not going to be here. He goes, trust me ma'am, I've been in business blah blah, blah. I'm on Angie's List and my rating is blah, blah, blah. Against my better judgement, I left him a check and the work when I quickly looked at it, it looked alright. upon further inspection, they had messed up and they had put a big hole in the back of the concrete patio. They had fixed it but they did such a lousy job of fixing it, I had to hire another contractor and pay him $200 to fix what they did. The concrete he did for my driveway is already cracking and he just did this work in 2013. I would never recommend him to anybody. He came in over budget which was alright, I accepted that. He did come back to the house. Where I asked him about the area where ti look like he had thrown grout or something in this big hole it had been in, I wish he had told me upfront where we put a big hole in the base of your concrete and this is what we did. He didn't tell me, I found it and asked him about it. I said, I think that should be smooth though and that looks terrible. Oh no, I'd leave it along. I just went and hired a guy that's sort of an all-purpose handyman that I knew. It took him four hours and he charged me $200 to smooth over the big clump of it looked like grout to me that the guy had just put over to cover the big hole. The only nice things I have to say about the man is that when I asked him questions, he did come back to my house and looked at the concrete. He was polite but I just wasn't happy with the work he did."

"I&F concrete did an incredible job on our home. In the course of four months, we hired them to do six different jobs: retaining wall installation, sidewalk repair/installation, driveway stone paver installation, brick patio installation, fence installation, and basement access repair and installation. Each of these was done professionally, on time, and at great value. I could not be more pleased with my experience with Fidel and his company!"

"These guys are great. Basement stairs drain got clogged so water made in through the back door. Destroyed the carpet and drywall. The cleaning company did their part, and Basement Pros took care of the rest. Professional techs, polite and professional phone service. John was great to work with. Hopefully this doesn't happen again, but if it does, I know who to call."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Takoma Park, MD

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
