"I can’t say enough good things about working with Peter Harris. We had a construction emergency and Peter took care of it skillfully and efficiently. Just after we went under contract to sell a family member’s condo, a water leak ruined the flooring and some cabinetry throughout the home. Immediately we struggled to work with the insurance company and find a contractor. Sourcing a reliable craftsman in Bozeman’s market seemed nearly impossible, and if we didn’t get the damage fixed quickly and competently, the water was likely to cause even more damage and we may have lost our buyer. With high praise, our realtor referred us to Peter. We were thrilled when he agreed to take on our job and ecstatic when we saw his work product was above reproach. Working with Peter was a joy, as well. He started the project almost immediately, gathering information for the insurance claim and ordering supplies. We live several hours from Bozeman and he was fine collaborating directly with our realtor for day-to-day issues. Peter kept us informed throughout and reached out to us for decisions when he needed approvals. Two months after Peter started the work, we closed on the condo. Thanks, Peter!"

"Homeowners do be careful because this operation seems either incompetent or unethical. I requested service for Heating zone problems. The technician replaced a zone valve and charged for diagnosing the system. Days later system is still broken. I checked the pressure in the expansion tank. Added air to the pressure system to normal. 5 minutes of my time and system fixed. Williams’ service manager complete silence!"

"CAUTION!!!!!! NEVER USE Bob's Plumbing. He came 4 hrs early while I was gone. I agreed he could go in an fix my slow draining kitchen sink and replace the garbage disposal (I purchased). I agreed he could go inside without me there. MISTAKE!!!! He called me and yelled at me about using "draino" and that the garbage disposal I purchased was junk (purchased at Costco). I returned home, to a huge bill for $325.00 to unclog my drain and hook up MY garbage disposal. He NEVER communicated this to me, nor do I know how long he was at my house. He took my bath towels to clean up the water and put the soaked towels in my garage in a pile. I've spoke to his wife, Jenelle Beane about my experience. She was rude and threatened to charge me an additional $30.00 late fee if I didn't put the check in the mail today. The services were rendered on 9/25 and today is 10/10...definItely not late. CUSTOMER SERVICE & PRICE is HORRIBLE.] BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!"
FAQs for gas piping projects in Three Forks, MT

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
