"Eddie Durrant and his assistant did a great job in replacing my water heater. They showed up on time and did the installation in an orderly and careful manner. When finished, they explained what the work consisted of and removed my old unit. I would definitely recommend them."

"The technician (Lance) was courteous, professional, and very helpful. He took the time to gather all of the background info regarding our AC situation and gave us helpful tips regarding vent usage, attic fans, and installing another vent in the master bedroom to help with airflow. Basically, he didn’t just band-aid the symptom, he helped with some permanent solutions. Here’s the breakdown in cost in case this helps: Adding 3 lbs refrigerant - $349. Contractor Replacement - $282. Dual Run Capacitor Replacement - $174. Annual maintenance for AC & Heating (2 units each) $238."

"They came out on a Saturday, but could not finish the job, they had to come back on Monday morning to finish up. When they put the sink back together, they forgot to install back the garbage disposal. They also did not have too much knowledge of the piping and because of that, they only replace one for Spicket and only replace parts on another. When I tried to call to complain about the garbage disposal, they kept circling back to different phone numbers."

"I recently began renting my home through a management company. When the AC stopped working I had my management company contact an AC company, and they chose Expert. Expert quoted $4000 to replace the AC. I then found another AC company myself (Humphrey) for a second opinion. Humphrey was able to fix the AC simply by changing the capacitor and fuse. Expert either 1) didn't bother to even look at it because the work order was coming from a management company and figured they paid whatever, or 2) did a really poor job diagnosing the problem. Either way, neither is favorable. My lesson learned as a new landlord--always find a repair company yourself."

"Jakob was wonderful. He explained to me what needed to be fixed on the A/C unit. He showed me the part that was defaulted and replaced it. I will keep friendly home service on my phone for any future repairs. I was leery about using this company but I am happy I called them. I highly recommend this company. Thanks Jakob!"

"Mark put in updated cartridges at no additional cost and showed me the before and after of water cleanliness, PH level, and water flow. If you want to replace a filter, add a filtration system to your kitchen, or put in a full home system, go with Crusader Water Systems! Check out their website for everything they do! "This contractor provided a very reasonable quote to replace a broken tailpiece assembly on a bathroom sink on the Saturday before Christmas (not a day when most plumbing contractors like to work). They were punctual and stuck to the quoted price despite a problem they could not have known about when they prepared the quote, They were quite friendly and professional. I was impressed. They are based in Stansbury, UT but still cover Salt Lake County."

"I have a large home in Lindon Utah that I rent to a wonderful family since my job relocated me to Washington State. I was told that the water softener I had in the home started leaking and was not working. I needed it fixed fast and I could not get away to go there myself. I am the kind that needs to research ALL before I spend a lot of money on anything and I really didn't have the time to sort this all out and get it fixed right.
I have never used Angie's List and thought this is the right time to try it. Angie's List didn't work at first so I thought I had been duped. I was't finding more than 1 or 2 marginal water softener companies in Lindon, UT, yet the add from Angies list that sucked me in stated that their were 34 good companies and 59 bad ones! So I called Angie's list to give them what for and a bad review. The customer service rep helped me sort out how to view companies in a different state and all of a sudden I had 36 companies and reviews.
Guardian Soft Water had a lot of reviews and was rated A. I called them first and Jeff answered. I have been around the block a few times and know a dodgy sales pitch when I hear it. Jeff was not a dodgy sales man. He took a half hour or better to educate me on water softeners. I of course had already scanned the internet had loaded myself up with as much tech data and product knowledge as you can get from reading sales pitches and glowing reviews from the companies trying to sell you their services and products. By the time Jeff was finished telling me about the water softener he prefers and why as well as explaining the workings and options of water softeners, I was in. Jeff could install the new unit quickly and the very next day. I checked with my tenants and they allowed me to schedule the appointment. Jeff showed up on time with a couple of options he had recommended depending on how hard the water was at the house. The price was more than fair, (I had researched the product he recommended, so I knew how much the water softener cost retail) and he gave me a 5% Angie's List discount on top. He then fixed a couple of leaks in the plumbing, for FREE!! I knew about these leaks and asked him if he could look at them. This is the kind of guy Jeff is. He will take the time to explain what might be needed, why and he will do what he states. I 100% believe that he cares about the customer and cares about doing the best job posible, using the best product available, not the cheapest product that looks good and he can buy cheap and sell high.
It is tough to get good service these days. It is hard to find someone who knows what they are doing and knows their product and is willing to take the time to tell you about it. So many companies are just trying to take care of their business and not yours and my concerns. I really know that I got more than I bargained for from Guardian Soft Water, Jeff and Angie's List.
My water softener breaking cost my $1,600 and I got a great product and great service to resolve the issue. I am happy it broke.

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Tooele, UT

You can absolutely install an outdoor mixture tap outside your home. An outdoor mixer tap blends hot and cold water before it leaves the spout, giving you a steady temperature for rinsing produce, washing hands, or spraying down patio furniture. As long as a plumber runs both hot and cold supply lines and insulates them against freezing, a mixer outside performs just like the one in your kitchen.

Outdoor faucet handles come in twist, lever, or knob varieties, all designed to stand up to the elements while giving you precise flow control. They’re built from tough materials yet offer the same comfort and ease of use as indoor faucets. Ask your plumber for a selection and for recommendations on the best option for your needs.

Start by pinpointing the leak—often it’s a worn washer, a loose packing nut, or a damaged gasket. If it’s salvageable, replace the faulty part; otherwise, you may need a new faucet. Always turn off the water before starting repairs, and test thoroughly when you’re done to confirm you’ve stopped the leak.

You can protect your outdoor faucets during the winter months by shutting off the water supply to the outdoor faucet before freezing weather arrives and by always disconnecting any attached hoses. You can further safeguard your outdoor faucets against ice by insulating the pipe and installing a basic faucet cover.

An outdoor faucet can last 20 years, though budget models may wear out in 10, and high-end ones can push 30 or more. Proper installation, routine upkeep, and careful use help you get the most life from any spigot. Ask your plumber for maintenance and care recommendations to get the most from your outdoor faucet.

Replacing an outdoor spigot yourself might work if you’re handy, but a professional plumber guarantees code compliance, reduces the risk of water damage, and offers peace of mind. If you’re not sure about soldering or local regulations, it’s best to hire a licensed plumber for a lasting fix that you can feel confident in.
