"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"I have nothing but great things to say about J&E Contracting. Jabaier came and did a consultation before scheduling with me. We discussed the job and how much paint it would take. The day of the job, Jabaier's brother, Simon, arrived along with an assistant. They were professional, efficient, and did an excellent job. The work was very neat and they didn't leave a mess. They were able to paint all of the areas that I needed painted, including the trim, which I wasn't sure they would be able to get to in the time allotted. I would definitely hire them again and have already referred them to a friend as well."

"We called Wildlife Evictors based on a friend's recommendation and were not disappointed. There were multiple raccoons driving us crazy making noise in the soffit area on the back of our house. Shinyan came over, found the entry point and installed an exit door, but some of the raccoons wouldn't leave after mangling the exit door. I suggested he install the exit door where the vent is located, so Shinyan installed the exit door there, and they left shortly thereafter. After we were assured they were definitely gone, Shinyan came back and reinstalled the vent. He repairs the house entry points with metal and paints over the metal to blend in with the house. He is punctual and followed up so I didn't have to call him to come back. We were impressed."

"I have been quite hesitant to use anyone that provides home repair services, solely for the fact that the quality of work is less than poor on nearly every occasion. I contacted BB Enterprise (Pablo) to help me get my schedule back on track. Pablo and I discussed the project after he arrived. Once Pablo started I went back to my house wiring project, hoping, praying that the work Pablo would do would be OK. Several hours later Pablo told me he had completed the work and asked me to take a look. As I looked at the first repair I had to take a moment to remember where the repair area was. Pablo's work is so good that I could not distinguish where the repair area began and ended. This was no small job filling nail holes. This was a nearly 10 foot length of drywall repair where a section of drywall was cut out horizontally to install pipes for a water heater. The same results were evident at all of the repair locations I needed completed. Pablo's work with drywall and painting is Excellent, he is timely, and most important to me, Pablo does what he says he will do and make no excuses regarding his work. Since that first repair I have had Pablo come back to my home and correct other vendors work. In regards to price Pablo is fair and I have no hesitations to pay. I will also call Pablo for other work as he is talented in more areas and is Customer Service focused. That's a win-win for all of us."

"Kimberly Painting painted the exterior of my home last Fall.  First I noticed they did a nice job of prep work such as pressure washing, caulking, scraping etc.  The carpentry work on some windows and eaves was excellent.  All rotten wood on the house had been identified and was replaced very well.  The crew worked very hard, were personable, and cleaned up after themselves.  The house looks great and i have gotten many compliments on how nice it looks.  I have recommended Kimberly Painting to several friends and neighbors already.

FAQs for carpentry framing installation projects in Turin, GA

Professional contractors complete basement framing in three to five days, depending on the size and complexity of your space. Projects with simple, open layouts progress faster than those with multiple rooms and corners. DIY framers should expect the job to take significantly longer, potentially seven to 10 days or more, depending on experience level and available time. The timeline doesn't include other aspects of basement finishing like drywall installation, electrical work, or finishing touches, which extend the overall renovation schedule.

Most municipalities require building permits for basement framing projects. These permits cost between $1,200 and $2,000, ensuring your renovation meets local building codes for safety and structural integrity. Working without proper permits can result in penalties, forced removal of completed work, and complications when selling your home. Your local building department can provide specific information about permit requirements, inspection schedules, and any special considerations for basement renovations in your area.

For basement framing, use pressure-treated lumber for bottom plates (the horizontal boards that contact concrete floors) to prevent moisture damage and rot. Standard kiln-dried lumber is suitable for wall studs and top plates that don't directly contact concrete surfaces. The most common lumber dimension for basement wall framing is two-by-four, though some situations may call for two-by-six lumber to accommodate thicker insulation. Always check local building codes, as some jurisdictions have specific requirements for basement framing materials.

You can install drywall after framing is complete and inspected, but several important steps should happen first. Ensure any electrical, plumbing, or HVAC rough-ins are completed and inspected before closing up walls. Installing insulation between studs is highly recommended for temperature control and moisture management. Drywall installation adds an average of $3 to $4 per linear foot to your project, with painting costing an additional $2 to $6 per square foot. Address any moisture concerns before enclosing walls to prevent future damage and mold issues.
