"I made the call on a Tuesday and the work was done the next afternoon. Jake came to the house and got right to work. The workmanship is first class. Jake was very nice and professional and cleaned up after himself. I would hire this company again for sure. "

"They showed up on time, were very knowledgeable, worked hard, had a solution of a vexing problems and were reasonably priced. In fact, I had purchased the toilets but one did not fit. They rushed one that did fit to our home and it cost the same as the one I got at Home Depot and it is a great toilet. They made sure both toilets were working a properly seated in their positions (something the last plumber had not done, resulting in wobbly toilets) and they cleaned up afterwards. I would gladly call these guys again. everyone was very professional and polite. <br />"

"Logan and his crew were very professional in installing the water heater. They were very easy to work with and answered all our questions so we could understand the operations of a tankless heater. We were very pleased with their work and the price. We were also very pleased with the time they took to install the heater. When Logan and his crew came back to install the gas supply to our cook top,we had the same experience with them. I would recommend East Texas Leak Locators very highly to anyone who has plumbing problems or need any kind gas or water lines run"

"I talked to Steve up at Flow Rite about water leaking from under my slab. After he came out and discovered it was a slab leak he had it fixed within 48 hours. This involved digging 12 foot under the slab of the house, welding in a new pipe, and putting all the dirt back. They were very professional and it all looked very good after they were done. I would recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing services."

"Very responsive to the initial and subsequent contacts. Lance and company performed professionally as well as providing me with information to make my decisions as the project progressed. Very responsive to added service request to replace washing machine valves. Pricing was very reasonable, especially when compared to the company's with higher overhead costs"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Tyler, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
