"I first hired Daniel and his team to scrape my front yard to get it ready for spring planting, and to plant four new trees. They did such a good job, I was thrilled to hire them right away to build a new retaining wall in my 100-year old house basement. They worked within the timeframe I needed them to, as I also was working with another company to replace my furnace. The wall came out better than I could have imagined! When I had some leakage problems with my sprinkler system, they came and worked on that, as well as replaced an old valve. They went above and beyond on my multiple projects. "I had searched everywhere for someone to do this type of job. HVAC and plumbing didn't want to look at it because of the size (too small), it wasn't HVAC and involved going through drywall. I finally tried C.M. Stone Construction (which I found through a positive comment on Angie's List) because they came up under both carpentry and drywall and advertised that "no job was too small". I described my problem to Ashlee over the phone and he came out and looked at it a few days later. Because the current dryer vent run was almost 25 ft with at least three to five 90-degree turns we discussed re-routing through the attic to the roof versus opening up the current run to diagnose the problem. Ultimately we decided to open the existing run. Two days later, Ashlee and Caleb arrived to do the work. They were on time and prepared. They opened three windows in the drywall to access the duct work. We discovered that, because of the long run and poor design, the middle eight feet of the duct was packed with [probably 30 years worth] of lint...apparently totally immune from any assault by duct cleaning companies (they had just packed it tighter). So the duct was totally cleaned out and an in-duct booster fan was installed to add power to the exhaust. The drywall was closed beautifully and all construction debris was cleaned up completely. For the first time we had a load of wet towels dry completely in one load instead of our usual three to four hours. My wife and I are very pleased with the the work of C.M. Stone Construction."

"We are overall very pleased with the outcome of my basement. At first, we were a little intimidated about “build your own basement” for the reason we wanted minimal involvement because we knew nothing about building construction. Phase I went fairly quickly with the layout, framing, drywall and other materials. We thought phase 2 would be the most difficult part, but it turned out to be very easy, we simply followed the schedule we were given along with the provided list of vendors and sub-contractors, and all went like clockwork. Overall, the build your own basement program was just the right amount of handling on our part, we were involved enough to get custom materials/fixtures to our liking and on our time schedule. We also liked the idea of having Dan, the foreman, who was able to answer all our questions and serve as the cross point between myself and the experts. The basement came out great, a seamless match to the upstairs."
