We are new homeowners of an 8 year old house. The previous owners had installed a low-lying deck which blocked outside access to the dryer vent.  Because of an excessively long, elbowed vent pipe that practically runs the length of the house, Mr. Danforth was only able to initially clean a partial section.  He was willing to return--  free of charge -- within the week, to allow us time to remove a few deck boards to expose the outside vent.  Of course, the vent was completely blocked with lint.  Mr. Danforth was able to remove approximately 8 years worth of lint debris.  This fire hazard has been removed and is no longer a threat to my family.  I feel blessed that I made that call to The Fireplace Doctor! Our clothes, despite the use of fabric softener, no longer have a stale smell to them. The drying time has been cut in half!  Because of this, I look forward to my reduced electric bill.
