"Our hot water heater went out and flooded our finished basement. Called MD Flood Restoration (MDFR) after 6:00pm and they were at our house within a couple of hours removing the soaked carpet and setting up equipment to dry things out. They returned the next day to finish pulling the carpet out and to cut out wet drywall. The crew did a thorough job of cleaning and hauled all the debris away. MDFR also arranged for a POD to be delivered to our driveway and came again to help pack things and move them to the POD. Patrick and his crew were wonderfully responsive, efficient, pleasant, polite and professional. We have never made a claim on our homeownersâ insurance before and Patrick was able to provide helpful information and advice about making a claim. When all the repairs were completed MDFR returned again to move things back from the POD and arranged for its removal. We were so grateful to have found MDFR and for all the help they provided, it made this unexpected and unpleasant experience a little more bearable. "It started off with requesting a quote through Best Air Quality and Restoration. The response time was great. The technician who showed up informed us in advance of his arrival, was very polite, followed Covid-19 safety protocols, was very thorough and did a great job. I also got the dryer vent cleaning which was the complete deal (going to the attic, removing the vent pipe and cleaning the debris). Some other companies claim they do dryer vent cleaning but only vacuum the dryer duct and do not perform the complete dryer vent cleaning which is more involved. Mostly good.  Painted exterior decorative trim when it was too cold so it didn't cure adequately.  Also, the exterior trim was not primed prior to painting.  Contractor said the trim was primed by the manufacturer....not true.  A few months after the install, the trim started to bulge again at the bottom due to water penetration (this was supposed to be fixed) and paint started peeling off the trim.  Since they weren't responsive to fix it the right way (sand, prime and repaint) In Nov of 2015 I spent $400 to have a painting contractor redo the priming and painting of the exterior trim....this contractor confirmed my suspicions that the trim was not primed at the manufacturer's plant and Adam contracting did not prime it.  There were other minor issues with door fit, gaps that had to be sealed due to inadequate door alignment, etc.  So he got the job done in a timely manner, but not as well as I would have liked.  His price was competitive with others and less than some, so I guess you get what you pay for.
