"I was thoroughly pleased with the installation of my new kitchen faucet. What I liked is that they went above and beyond. There were other things in the house that needed attention and Kyle changed did a "wellness" check around the house, the bathrooms and found that the faucet to the outside of the house needed updating. I wills say that their price was a little high but for my peace of mind, it was worth it. Within 5 days of my work being done, I recommended them to a co-worker who needed a hot water heater repaired and they are satisfied with that work too. Yes, I will call on InstaPlumbing again."

"I've used Wesson Energy for a few years now as a member of the Connecticut Energy Cooperative. The prices are great and the service is responsive and professional.
In September, I noticed that the gauge on my heating oil tank showed that I was a quarter of a tank low. A few days later I received a notice of delivery from Wesson billing me for approximately 175 gallons of oil (about half a tank). I called to ask why, if I was only a quarter of a tank down, I would have needed so much oil.
Wesson sent out a technician to look at the problem. As it turned out, the gauge was wrong (they acquire a later of silt over time that weighs down the floater). Apparently l had looked at the gauge just after the delivery and the tank wasn't registering as full.
Throughout the course of several phone calls to resolve this problem, representatives for Wesson were courteous and professional.
P.S. Wesson definitely fixed the problem; the old gauge remained on the tank so I was able to compare the readings on the new and old gauges. The old gauge consistently registers a quarter-tank lower.

"We called him in the middle of the night.  The answering service said that someone will get back to us shortly.  He called us back within 2 or 3 hours and he said he would be at our house by 8 am.  He was reliable, he was professionally dressed.  He found the problem and fixed it temporarily and will be coming back with the correct tubbing to fix it fully.  He offered me an annual maintenance aggreement that would have allowed for discounted prices and he would have applied it to the first job for us had we taken it.  The aggreement also included a free annual air conditioning cleaning and a 15% discount on plumbing and air conditioning repairs.  My first contact with them was because they also provide maintenance to heating systems;  they do it all.  I would definitely call them again."

"Cliff and Joe were on time, neat workers, and professional. They obviously knew what they were doing. This was not their first water heater replacement. The whole job was completed in much less time than I expected. Would hire this company again for plumbing work."

FAQs for water heater repair or service projects in Washington, CT

Warning signs include fluctuating water temperatures, a pilot light that repeatedly goes out, unusual noises from the tank, or complete heating failure. You might also detect a rotten egg smell, indicating a potential gas leak, or notice water that never reaches the proper temperature. If your water heater is over eight years old and displaying these symptoms, the gas valve is a likely culprit. Professional inspection is recommended, especially if gas odors are present.

Water heater gas valves are not universally interchangeable. Each valve must match your specific water heater's make, model, and specifications. Important compatibility factors include gas type (natural gas vs. propane), BTU rating, connection types, and physical dimensions. Using an incorrect valve can result in poor performance, premature failure, or dangerous gas leaks. Always consult your water heater's documentation or a professional plumber to identify the appropriate replacement valve for your unit.
