I also had the water filter to the well moved/re-piped to a more accessibe location and stabilized and made easier to change the water filter in the future. And lastly, I had the furnace serviced. "The HVAC company I had used for many years went out of business, so I decided to try Northern Heating.  I was a bit confused when they answered the phone as "Valley Mountain services", but they explained that the employees had taken over the business and were operating as Valley Mountain Services, but were still using the same technicians. <br /> The cleaning and inspection of both furnaces went as expected.  I told the technician that a CO detector at my house had gone off a month before, apparently a false alarm, but asked him specifically to check CO levels on each furnace.  He measured 0 ppm in the duct of both furnaces and noted that on the receipts.  Both furnaces have been running without problems since they were serviced (two months ago).  The thoroughness of the cleaning and inspection seemed comparable to the company I had been using - and the bill was $30 less per furnace than I had been paying. <br /> <br /> <br />"
