"Called after hours, we were charged $400 for the first hour and told it would be $250 an hour if they couldn’t finish it in the first hour. 2 guys came ! Why I have no idea one person could have done the job! They told us it would cost $750 to remove the toilet to snake it ! Nope !!! They said they moved something and today it’s not working again ! They don’t want to help the consumers they want to price gouge and make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I do not recommend!!!"

"So I was woken in the middle of the night to the smell of gas in the house. Being a blind veteran it was very difficult for me to find where exactly the leak was and I had tried to find the shut off valve with no luck. I called Jack’s and they sent out Justin. Justin was simply amazing he took time after finding the shut off valves and what should’ve been there if it wasn’t there turned off the gas and made it safe for me for the rest of the evening and we made plans for them to return the next morning at that point he spent many hours here doing what had to be done because the pipes were just so bad. I can’t think Justin and Jack’s Plumbing enough because simply I feel safe in my home. That is one of the most important things to me is being and feeling safe in my home. So my simple review to them is this great customer care amazing services and attention in detail Plus they really cleaned up well after themselves"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Waterford, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
