"Bob was referred to me by a friend who lives in Chicago and had Mold problems.  My friend told me how pleased he was with Bob, so after i did my own air quality test (hard to read them by there was some elevated counts in my basement) and I also wanted to have my attic looked at too.  I emailed Bob and he responded quickly and offered to do come out to give me an estimate the next day.   <br /> He arrived on time.  <br /> He took off his shoes to walk a few steps my basement door. <br /> He had a flashlight and was looking at all the rafters and walls.  *I had already done some cleaning on the walls.  <br /> I told him how I found a few very old items with some mold on them (roller skates, old typewriter case and work gloves). Bob told me he did not see any issues on the rafters or anything else, but he started to point out items where there was some mold on the back of a cardboard poster and two chairs (one had cloth and the other was wood), so I told him I will trow them away. He also so a few boxes I had with water damage marks on them should be tossed.   <br /> Next he went into my attic and said my vents from my two upstairs bathrooms need to be vented through the attic.  When I asked, he provided me with a referral.  He did not see a need to do anything in the attic.   <br /> So I was expecting estimates, but instead I now knew the problem could be cleared up by tossing more of my junk. cleaning the basement, using a dehumidifier to keep moisture down and if I wanted to I can also place a low cost hepa filter air cleaner. <br /> I felt bad as he came and did this free while other would have charged me.  When I said this to him, he said he rather not charge me for something I did not need, as his business is based on referrals.  I found him by asking a friend, so if a friend had an issues, I would recommend him. <br /> f./He did not ask me to do this, but when he was leaving - I told him I am part of Angie's List so I told him I will make a recommendation for him. <br />"
