"I purchased an Angie's List Deal for this service.  I tried to schedule this service originally while I was on vacation during the week of April 14 - April 18, but the weather was too cold for the Freon to be checked.  Once the weather warmed up enough for the service, Metro came out and did a very thorough job.  Despite not having complete access to my unit because of a jammed lock, the technician was able to clean and check out my air conditioner in time for the Texas summer season.  Everything is working great.  I would definitely recommend Metro and use them in the future.

"The lady that answered the phone was very polite and scheduled the appointment to my convenience. The tech. Arrived 10 mins early and presented himself very professionally also his van looked very nice. Upon diagnosing the problem he explained all my options and gave me his recommendation as to what my next step should be. I decided to replace bad part and get the air conditioner tuned up. I'm was extremely satisfied with the level of service I received from mechanical comfort systems, and will use the company again for future repairs and maintenance.

"The installation itself went well, and the additional items promised were received. We negotiated for more items since we didn't need an additional RO filter. NOW here is the BUT. We do have satisfactory whole house basic filtration, BUT it adjusts the pH the wrong way for us. Sales person tested water but I don't think she was used to seeing high pH like we have out here. We really needed a different solution to take care of that, but that wasn't suggested. So our water is even softer now. This keeps us from being satisfied with what is a good product otherwise. Last periodic servicing January 2017, satisfactorily performed."

It was in middle of summer 2019, hotter than you can imagine inside my house even with 2 portable a/c units running in LR trying to mitigate some of the heat while waiting on my a/c company to help me. Stacy came out quickly diagnosed the problem right away, my unit was dead (I had been nursing it over last few years) but I couldn’t purchase a new unit until I got in a place to fund a house remodel. So, I needed a used 5 ton unit - not an easy ask, but Stacy found one and installed it w/in 24 hours for a price that did not break the bank (about the same cost as 2 top of the line portable air conditioners, which I returned!) He was professional, responsive, and quick at a reasonable price! Stacy listened to me, took ownership of my problem, was kind & caring and best of all got the job done quickly at a price I could afford...all in the middle of summer (his busiest season) when other air conditioning companies are charging premium prices or up selling, Stacy Callahan got me what I needed not what he could sell me! "This HVAC company has a very good service cal charge - $30, and they refund it if you use them for repair. But that is where is ends. 
They wanted to charge me $155 to replace a short piece of electrical wire (<1 foot), and which only takes 2 minutes to replace. Even though it was clear that s short piece of wire was burnt out, they also wanted me to replace the Connector and the capacitor (as a precaution) for about $300 each.
I just used them for service call and then replaced the wire myself - my system is working fine now.

I would stay away from this company. "

"A#1 air technician did the spring tune up perfectly. No complaints about the quality of the work. However, there is quite a bit of upselling that I do not like. They recommend some systems that may or may not improve the overall efficiency of the compressor. And they try to cross sell other services like Electrical safety check. Also, my neighbor had a very large price quote for an AC Capacitor replacement with A#1 air - and when he called the supervisor, they were able to reduce the price down to a more realistic one. This to me is an orange flag. "
