"Technicians from Streamline were punctual, courteous, and very professional. They identified the problem and came up with a plan to replace the entire gas line that was in the attic and ran along the cathedral ceiling down to the fireplace in the living room. They replaced it with minimal damage to the drywall. They were finished with the job in less time than they estimated. We were extremely pleased with the entire process. There was a minor issue with the length of the gas line that hooked to the logs being slightly too long. Once the problem was identified by the gas company, we called Streamline and the same technicians returned the next day and rectified the problem."

"These folks were great to work with. The project went smoothly and there were no surprises at all. The know what they are doing, and did everything properly. We had no problems with the inspection. I expect to use this company again for my plumbing work. I was pretty careful about my selection of the company because I knew a lot of gas work would be needed. These are the people you want if you need anything done with gas."

"I liked that they were very efficient, clean, organised. Very good. It was good. I would recommend to them suggesting a larger plumbing pipes versus the plumbing they installed. They installed the standard 3/8 inch into the walls or half inch into the walls but the fittings are smaller size. With the new plumbing fittings, they are brass fittings, so therefore you have a decrease in water flowing. The results of that I wasn't very happy with it, it's efficient but I would recommend it to the customer that since these fitting were smaller we need to go to a larger pipe and I would have paid more money for that to have adequate flow. You know if you flushed the toilet and you had they shower running you see the decrease where you didn't see that before."

"I had cut over my furnace to natural gas a couple of years ago. I was ready to get rid of my LP, but I needed to convert my stove, gas logs, dryer, and hot water heater. I purchased a new NG water heater and installed it myself, but I had Kenneth cut the gas line from LP To NG. He installed three regulators to cover the 4 appliances and performed a leak test. He got everything up and working, tested each appliance, and was extremely professional. He came over and waited for the inspector, and everything went as smooth as silk. He charged a very reasonable price for the amount of work. I would hire him again without hesitation."

"We received several estimates for replacing our 30 year old gas furnaces and air conditioning units.  It came down to two different companies and it seemed that the Trane system was a higher grade system than the Lennox system the other company was quoting. There was a lot of information on the internet that was pro/con different manufacturers.  What we did see was a few sites stating that the most important thing to look for is someone who would do the installation right.  We checked Angie's list and this company had very good reviews. <br /> One key differentiator was that they offered two years labor warranty whereas most offer only one year. <br /> I had several calls and email exchanges with RH&A to ask questions and get more information.  They were always prompt in responding and answering all of my questions and concerns. <br /> One concern I had was that some of the companies that came in indicated that another hole would need to be put  in the roof because the vent would come out the front of the new system and they would not be able to route the new piping to the existing vent. The RH&A installers said this would not be a problem and they did manage to get the new piping to exhaust out of the existing roof vent though it did take some engineering to make it work. <br /> They scheduled two groups of workers so that the upstairs and downstairs systems could be installed in one day.  Everyone arrived on time and the work was all completed in one day.  Also I was provided with all of the documentation needed to get the appropriate rebates and tax credits that I had been told about prior to purchasing their systems.  I checked online and verified that all of the information they provided was exactly right. <br /> They cleaned up and left everything as it had been before except for the new systems.   <br /> The systems have been installed for several weeks now, the heating has recently started to kick in with the cold weather and everything is functioning great.  We would definitely recommend them and use them again. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Wendell, NC

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
