"On the 27th of April 2022, Rob and Seth of Maynor Services installed my new Trane Gas Pack HVAC system. Both actually showed up early and were waiting out front before our appointment. We talked briefly about what they were going to be doing and they got right to work. You could tell that they’d worked together as a team for a while as they both tackled different areas without any discussion. Seth even dug up and moved two shrubs to make room for removing the old unit and installing the new unit. At the end, he replanted them and both shrubs have survived like they were never disturbed. They removed all the old equipment, including stuff under the house without a trace. The new unit went in perfectly and the sheet metal covering the ducts and attaching everything back to the house looked so much better and more professional than the old installation. Rob only had to come into the house just a couple of times; to remove the old control system and thermostats and install the new thermostats. It was a full day’s work for Rob and Seth, but the results were perfect. Both were very personable and I would highly recommend them as team to install Trane equipment to anyone. I’ve used Maynor for preventive maintenance on my old equipment for two years leading up to replacing my 16-year-old system and kept it operating perfectly, but now, before it really gets hot and while equipment was available seemed to be the smart time to make an upgrade."

"Excellent. The crew was on time, were Covid prepared, and very informative re costs and what they could do. The part was ordered and installed in a week. Despite the cost of the part, they recommended that we keep our machine because, in their experience, Maytags of that vintage were far superior in reliability than a replacement would be. "My prior water heater, a 50-gallon tank, started leaking after 15 years. I called Streamline to confirm that it needed replacement, and to replace it. I was considering a tankless water heater already, and the first tech walked me through the pros and cons, then wrote up an estimate. Two additional techs came the next day to install the heater and the necessary gas and power lines. The only issue I had was that one of the newly installed gas fittings leaked gas into the basement. I shut off the supply valve and called Streamline, and they came out within half an hour to fix it at their expense. Mistakes happen, and I was impressed with how professionally they corrected that one."

What they don't know is I know enough about these systems to know the cost of parts and how the system works. So when the "technician" shows up and says they don't know which of the 5 parts was a problem, I'm skeptical. I just don't want to fix everything myself anymore. Comfort Monster is different. The difference is their technicians do not work on commission. Repairman from other companies get paid when the customer has to buy a new HVAC system, giving no incentive to fix anything. "Estimate was quickly provided and job was done within estimate range. Installers were very knowledgeable and had quite a bit of experience with whole-home systems. They arrived on time and took the necessary time to do the install the correct way. Would highly recommend."

"Overall experience was excellent.  We noticed that the air conditioning / cooling of our old HVAC system wasn't working when we first turned it on this year.  The serviceman from Alpine determined that the refrigerant fill valve was leaking, and provided an estimate to replace the valve and the refrigerant.  Since the leak had completely drained the system (it used R-22 which costs over $100 / pound), the repair was going to cost $1500 - of an old unit.  It was recommended that we consider replacing the HVAC unit.  The salesperson we met with was thorough and knowledgeable, and presented us a range of options to consider. He did steer us away from lower quality units to several higher quality options (all made by Amana), and we elected to go with a mid-range system.  The installation was performed over 1.5 days by 2 technicians (the furnace is in the basement), and the technicians were prompt, courteous, thorough and complete. I had pretty minimal cleanup to do after they had completed the job.  System is working beautifully at the 2 month mark. I would recommend them highly for their efficient service and knowledgeable advice."
