"The only company in the Cincinnati area that offered me the correct product! Every other company, large scale and independent, was incompetent. THEY ALL TRIED TO SELL ME A HEAT PUMP EVEN THOUGH IT IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH MY LINE SET (1/4in). I spoke to 10 companies total. Hill-Air was the only valid choice."

"Excellent. Plumber, Aaron, wore shoe coverings, was on time, and got the job done professionally. The quote, which he gave on arrival after looking at the job, was much lower than I expected. He did some copper water line modifications, added a couple angle valves, and a feedwater tap for my new reverse osmosis water system. Will definitely use Eckel again."

"Unit was working prior to service and now less than 6 hours later the unit is no longer functioning. We attempted to contact Crane through their answering service but they would not return this evening and refused our request to talk to them directly."

"These guys, or their technicians anyway, started out AMAZING!!!! Since then complete 180 and ripped off and ignored. I had them install and new HVAC system. It's gone out once a year (3 times now) since install. So far about 1k out of pocket for labor repairs for a "loose wire" .... The last time the tech did the wire repair, and charged 600 without authorizing the repair first, it's already fixed, here's the bill..... As soon as you get a service you get an automated text from the owner, saying please call if you have any questions or concerns.... Well this time I did, so I called, after 2 weeks of calling I finally got him on the phone. Basically said, "Hmmmn that does seem unusual, and the repair cost sounds way too high. Let me touch base with the tech and find out a little more info, then I'll call you back and try to figure it out from there. If nothing else, you were probably overcharged and we'll refund the difference." Well that was November, so I'm not thinking he'"

"Sentry repaired my heat pump for less than a quarter of the cost that one of their competitors quoted. They didn't pressure me to replace it like so many HVAC companies do. I'm definitely going to them first the next time I need a repair or when the hardware finally dies."

"Don came out after I had submitted a claim thru AHS warranty company regarding an extensive leak in my basement bathroom shower / bathroom. The first time he came out with a partner he told my wife it was just the nature of the fixture and it was residual water sitting in the pipe. Water continued leaking. I called back and they came out again…no tools. They literally walked downstairs and looked at it and said there was no issue then left. I this leak is so extensive it fills up a 5 gallon bucket every 2 days. Never once even touched a pipe. Just looked at it and left. I tried getting the, back out and was told by AHS warranty company that they refused the job. Unbelievable. This guy has talked down about other plumbers poor service to me and now he is literally doing what he said they do. Very shady. Zero communication. Will not return calls. Avoid this company unless you are prepared to be disappointed and angry."

FAQs for gas piping projects in West-harrison, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
