"I was contacted by Total Mechanical Systems, LLC only moments after putting in a request on homeadvisor. I explained to Bob that we where remodeling our kitchen and wanted to have a pot filler installed asap as sheet rock was being installed in the morning and the pipe needed to be in place so they could sheet rock around it. He and Joey arrived at 7:30am and promptly installed the water line and pipe from the basement to 1st floor finishing the job as contractor arrived to start sheet rock. An important plus for me all staff that I spoke with and meet where professional and polite..... only wish I had a better memory so I could give them a mention. A+++"

"Incredible. My water heater went after many years in a tight location. I called PlumbTech and sent him a few pictures and the model number. He then gave me an estimate that was approximately 40% less than the other 4 companies I called. Once I gave the "OK", he informed me his time of arrival, was professional, courteous, and answered all questions I had. The water heater needed to be relocated a bit so he adjusted the water line configurations, replaced all my shutoff valves and other related services at absolutely no extra charge ! Try getting that kind of service elsewhere. I got other estimates wanting to charge me for every single "extra" service required. I cannot overstate how pleased I was with PlumbTech . He will now be the ONLY one I call in the future for anything. Don't play games with companies trying to nickel and time you regardless of emergencies or not. Believe me, this is the guy you call for professional work, yet still affordable. I am definitely impressed and so glad I chose him."

"Responded quickly and performed the service at a high quality in a short time. Very knowledgeable on what he is doing and is definitely worth hiring again. I referred him to other friends that needed plumbing work, and they were delighted. Overall, very professional service at a reasonable price."

"I made an appointment to get some work done on my car.  They were very attentive when I arrived first thing in the morning, and made the car hand off very easy.  They walked me through some options for the services I wanted to get done, and they gave me prices for it all.  I left it there, and took off for work.  They were able to complete the work, and it was ready for pick up when I got out of work.  That's about all I can ask for out of a mechanic.  Would definitely use them again. <br />"

"Chose them as the lowest cost of 3 bids for the job.  They showed up on time, completed the job quickly and without issue.  Quality appears good but I admit I know nothing about chimneys.  Was impressed that they went out of their way to find a brickyard with a close match to my existing chimney. <br />"

"I reside in Brockton, Ma. I worked with the Bridgewater office of Osterman Propane. They worked with me to get the propane tank delivered as soon as my property was ready. The Technician, Kevin, was on time, courteous and very helpful. He explained how to read the tank levels and explained when we would need to call for a propane delivery. Colleen was very accommodating, working with my schedule for installation and helped me get all the necessary paperwork in order. I am very please with their customer service."

FAQs for gas piping projects in West-hartland, CT

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
