"BLVS was exactly what we wanted and MORE. AJ and his team were on time, friendly, and efficient. They helped us determine the best option for our front stoop and they recommended the addition of a handrail and we LOVE it. They were able to give us a quote and complete the job all within a week and within our budget. We will definitely be calling BVLS first for any future projects we have! Excellent group of guys, very knowledgeable, and extremely funny! Thanks again for all the hard work out in!!"

"We recently had our kitchen remodeled and decided to go with leathered, black pearl granite for our countertops. Cheryl was extremely helpful in the process of choosing the perfect slab including where to look and what to look for. Jason and Cody handled the measuring, fabrication, and installation and displayed great patience, professionalism, & knowledge in answering all our questions & offering great advice. The countertops turned out beautiful & we couldn't be more pleased. Honestly, Jason, Cheryl & Cody were wonderful to work and made this one of our favorite buying experiences. We highly recommend Lexmar USA to anyone who wants an exceptional job at a more than fair price. Their team is second to none. Jim & Mel"

"Called Greg and he came out a couple of days later and gave me an estimate. I asked if he could finish the job by a certain date as I was going on vacation. Greg said that this would not be a problem. I called Greg and hired him to do the work a couple days later. About a week passed and Greg said he would be starting Friday morning. Friday morning at 8AM the crew was here working diligently. The crew removed an existing paver patio; prepped and formed the patio to my specification; installed the aggregate; then poured 5 yards of concrete in 1 day. My 80-foot driveway is newly paved. They used a bobcat to transfer the concrete from the street to the back of my house. They made 10-15 trips and not a single drop of concrete on my driveway! Greg stopped in Friday late afternoon to check in on the crew and my satisfaction. The crew returned Monday (they were going to work Saturday but we had storms all weekend). The crew fixed the yard where the bobcat tore up the sod. They used a great grade of top soil, seeded and covered with mushroom mulch. What a fantastic job. The crew was friendly, attentive, detail oriented and focused on getting the job done. If you need work done, do not bother calling anybody else."

"We would highly recommend Jason Palat Landscaping. When Jason came out for an estimate, we showed him the cracked concrete, sagging brick walls around the patio and explained the drainage issues. The original plan was to keep the existing concrete slab underneath a roof overhang and remove everything else (sagging brick walls and cracked concrete). The new patio would be longer, but not as wide due to roots of a large tree (probably to source of the cracked concrete). Jason even came back with his laser level to make sure the pavers would meet the remaining slab without creating a step, while still maintaining the correct slope for drainage. There were a couple of unforeseen complications during the project (surprise!) and Jason recommended fixes for them while keeping our budget in mind. First were the large gaping holes under the concrete slab we had intended to retain; it almost looked as if the slab was cantilevered from the house without any support under it. Jason recommended removing and replacing with pavers and modified the overall design slightly to keep the additional cost down. Also the pipe underground from the downspout was clogged with tree roots. He ran a new pipe with a pop-up drain and charged us his cost. Everything else went smoothly. The final step was replanting grass which is coming in nicely. Jason even left additional seed and straw for an area we were still trying to decide: plants or grass. As far as communication, Jason is very quick to answer emails and calls. He and his crew are very professional and do great work. Again we would highly recommend Palat Landscaping."

"AMAZING!! I highly highly recommend this company. Don't even bother getting other estimates!! I spent so much time researching companies and getting estimates, and RH was by far the best estimate (some were almost 2-3x as much). They also did a great job of listening to what our plans were for the design and working to meet our expectations. I did most of my communicating with Amanda. She was so responsive which was helpful. She was also very patient with my million questions and concerns, always responding with a full answer and being willing to talk as often as I needed. We initially were going to have them do the trench for our French drain and we would do the rest. They were totally fine with this plan, and even gave us some tips and advice to make sure we were doing it the best way possible. After that, we realized they were far more qualified and we felt comfortable having them do the whole thing. It actually ended up being less expensive than doing it ourselves!! The patio was beautiful and so well done. We could see how meticulous they were to make sure all the prep work was done thoroughly and correctly, and we feel so confident about the longevity of our patio. They were very patient when we changed our minds several times about the layout or brick type. They stuck to their prices, and even when the yard damage and repair was more than they had anticipated, they covered the difference to repair our lawn without charging us the extra amount. My husband and I were a bit anal and a bit micro-manag-y about some of it, and they were so kind and patient to explain every step and why they were doing everything (which they definitely did perfectly every step along the way). We also had them prepare a gravel pad for our hot tub, and they did great with this, as well as communicating with our electrician to make sure that was all in order. They were honest in telling us they hadn't done a hot tub the way we were installing it, and they did the research and communication with us and our electrician so everything was In order (and again, it was all perfect). I cannot more highly recommend a company. You will not find a better price, better workmanship, or better communication with any other group."

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in West Mifflin, PA

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
