"We were very happy with both jobs we hired Holland Construction to complete! The first job was a big and challenging repair and re-pour of our raised concrete patio. Holland Construction did an excellent job! the patio looks great, we are very pleased and delighted with the results! Steve was a pleasure to deal with, very personable and professional. The work was top quality and the cost was very reasonable! The second job we hired Holland Construction for was to repair and resurface the chimney on our home and we are very happy with the results! We very highly recommend Holland Construction!!!"

"When contacting Ron he as able to send someone out for an estimate the next day. He then gave me a estimate over the phone after measuring the windows for $1200. Because my mom is a senior citizen he offered her a senior citizen discount of $50. <br /> Ron then Scheduled the work two days later. The Crew arrived on time and were able to install the windows earlier than estimated.  The work crew was very professional.  They were very careful and meticulous about the plants outside the windows that they were installing.  The work was completed in the amount of time that he said it would be done.  Everything was cleaned up.  The windows are awesome. <br /> I am very happy with the quality of work that was provided. <br />"

"The old stone foundation was looking pretty shabby. In less than a week, Mr. Dempski installed a wire mesh over the existing exterior and parged over it with concrete, then for the areas where the foundation was visible, applied a and quot;top coatand quot; of custom-colored concrete to finish the job. He also applied rubber waterproofing down to the footer in a section of the foundation where I have noticed a small water leak coming into the basement during very heavy rains. I lost that 'old stone' look and now the foundation looks (and is) smooth and strong. Mr. Dempski is very friendly, customer-focused, and works very cleanly, he left no trace that he was there other than the finished product, which looks great! I will definitely be contacting him for any future masonry work. <br />"

"Bob and the crew were wonderful from initial meeting to finish! I cannot say enough good things about the whole team! Bob would return calls same day and answered any questions, quoted a great price, started the project 2 weeks earlier than anticipated, always cleaned up after every day - never left a mess, whole crew was friendly and personable, flexible payment options, and great quality of work! We couldn't be happier! I definitely recommend this company and will hire them again for future projects! A+++++++++!"

"Bruce was part of the rescue squad when our house was struck by a car. The cultured stone he had installed just a few years ago needed to be repaired. The removal and replacement of the stone facade was completed quickly. They also removed the damaged front steps and built a custom step and sidewalk to replace them. We were so happy with this work we also had him apply the cultured stone to the rear of the house. Everything looks fantastic, we are extremely pleased."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Wilkes Barre, PA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
