"The plumber who came fixed the faucets, spoke on the phone with me about the repairs, then agreed to also check the faucets in the back yard for similar problems. After his report, I asked him to replace one of the back yard faucet connections, too."

"Mr Lester and crew dug about seven feet back under the slab to repair a leak in the sewer pipe. Excellent, careful and thorough work. I would definitely recommend this company. Work started the day I called, and was completed on the third day. Plumbing was only inoperable for about an hour. No dirt in the house, all work was done outside."

"I first called Doug when my local plumber had an injury and recommended look in a neighboring town for another repair plumber. I called several different plumbing offices and only one had the courtesy to call me back within the hour. Doug was able to come out that evening and clear my septic drain with no issues whatsoever. Upon completion of the job, I had him look under the kitchen sink and ask if he might be available to repair/replace all the supply and drain lines under my kitchen sink and a new faucet. He gave a rough estimate with the stipulation that no major hurdles pop up. He said would prefer to do it in the AM since he will first come out, evaluate all that was needed parts wise and go pick them up. He was here as promised and even sent me a text to let me know him and his helper were on the way. As expected, he arrived and took his notes as to what he needed then explained to me all he was going to do. When he returned, he hopped to work and we were only without water for a short while. The intrusions were minimal and the only annoyance was from my kids wanting to watch and get in the way. He and his helper were extremely courteous to them. During the work, Doug let me know all he was doing and about future concerns about the high calcium build up in our lines. They worked quickly, efficiently, and cleaned as they worked. I was nothing but impressed with their professionalism! <br>The total came in a little higher due to issues unforeseen, just as he said might be the case, but well within what could be expected. After testing the lines and all the work was done, he walked me through the work completed and addressed any concerns and asked if there was anything else I might need or have concerns about. I had none! <br>I highly recommend Doug Powers to handle any and all plumbing needs. His work ethic, attention to detail, and professionalism should be highly sought after. He is the only plumber I have ever had tell me that he only does repair work and loves it. <br>--- Also, when scheduling the work, he told me that unless a customer has a leak or major issue, that my work <br>can wait since leaks are priority. I found that to bring my perception of his work ethic even higher than before then! <br>"

"<p>Rick's Plumbing has re-plumbed (replaced all of the plumbing) in a number of homes in our area. The bid we received was fair, and there were no overruns. Mike, the plumber, and his helper Joel arrived on Monday morning. Mike explained what they would be doing and let us know if there were any problems along the way. Since this was existing construction, we knew we had to be flexible when an unforeseen problem arose. Mike kept us informed of any issues and what needed to be done to correct the problem. When cutting out the sheet rock to access the old plumbing, Mike cut square openings so the sheet rock repair would be easier. Mike planned ahead and their where no unnecessary holes cut in the sheet rock. Mike and Joel always cleaned up every day, so dust, etc. was kept at a minimum. Over a 4-day period Mike replaced all of the plumbing to every fixture in our home. Throughout this time he arranged it so we always had hot water on one side of the house. That made the project a lot easier to deal with. On the last day, the water was shut off, all of the fixtures were hooked into the new water lines in the house and then hooked to water line outside the home. After completion, Ricky, the owner of the company, came to inspect the work and insure it was done correctly. </p> <p>If you want an honest, reliable company that warranties their work, then hire Rick's Plumbing. Rick's was originally referred to us by friends that are life-long residents of Cleburne, and this is the second time we've used them. We will use Rick's again for any plumbing needs, and recommend them to friends and neighbors.</p> <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Wills Point, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
