"If you need an honest, reliable, professional, friendly plumber ask for Raffi at R&R Plumbing. I had four other estimates all double the price. The men that gave me those estimates were rude and condescending and many tried to add random add-ons to the job that were entirely unrelated. I will never again call anyone but Raffi. He fixed our regulator valve and installed a new laundry room faucet. I already booked him to return to install another faucet in my kitchen. 10/10 recommend!!!"

"Tommy came out to look at the problem I had with my water heater and gave me his best options to get the job done. Tommy was very professional and explain all details. We scheduled them out the next and they completed the job professionally. I will refer this company to everyone who is looking for a plumber. Thank you."

FAQs for water heater repair or service projects in Winchester, CA

Warning signs include fluctuating water temperatures, a pilot light that repeatedly goes out, unusual noises from the tank, or complete heating failure. You might also detect a rotten egg smell, indicating a potential gas leak, or notice water that never reaches the proper temperature. If your water heater is over eight years old and displaying these symptoms, the gas valve is a likely culprit. Professional inspection is recommended, especially if gas odors are present.

Water heater gas valves are not universally interchangeable. Each valve must match your specific water heater's make, model, and specifications. Important compatibility factors include gas type (natural gas vs. propane), BTU rating, connection types, and physical dimensions. Using an incorrect valve can result in poor performance, premature failure, or dangerous gas leaks. Always consult your water heater's documentation or a professional plumber to identify the appropriate replacement valve for your unit.
