At PG Plumbing we have a simple yet powerful reason for starting our plumbing company: to bring a breath of fresh air to the plumbing industry in Fort Wayne and Allen County.\n\nWith the rise of large corporate plumbing conglomerates, we noticed the disappearance of the small, locally-owned plumbing businesses that once thrived in our community. This inspired us to step in and make a difference.\n\nOur mission is clear: we are here to provide our customers with cost-effective, personal experiences rather than prioritizing profit margins. We understand the frustration that often comes with plumbing issues, and our goal is to alleviate that stress with a service you can trust.\n\nWe invite you to choose PG Plumbing a local, employee-owned, reliable, and trustworthy team, for all your plumbing needs. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we are committed to providing you with the best service possible. Thank you for considering us as your plumbing partner in Fort Wayne.

"Went great. I discovered that my water heater was leaking, called North Side because of positive reviews on Angie's List. They has a plumber in the area who showed up within the hour. As he was pulling my old one out, an associate delivered a new one. Total time from my emergency phone call to them finished and gone was less than 4 hours. On top of that, their prices were reasonable."

"It was quick and easy. I had already tried putting the pipe nipple on 3 times and couldn't get it tight enough to not leak since I had to be careful not to ruin the threads. They had a pipe wrench with a pivoting head that could grab it behind the threads. They arrived on time and completed the job in about 5 minutes or less. They wore shoe covers to not track into the house and the connection has not leaked since. <br />"

"They did a super job for us. The heat went out this winter, they got back with me right away, and fixed it, and did an excellent job. They called me when they were on their way, and they were here when they said. I will probably use them again. I had bought a new furnace from them in 2011, and so it was still under warranty. I am sure they had a lot of people calling them because it was very cold, but they came right out. The price was very good. The service technician charged us for a service call, and unknowingly we paid it. A few days later they said that we were under warranty, and so they sent us a check back. The quality was very good, they did a good job, and he cleaned up very well. When I called in, the reception put me in direct contact with the technician, and he told me what to do, and what may be wrong."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Woodburn, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
