"HIred company for a whole house humidifier installation/replacement. Don was very professional and thorough; he made sure we had the right system for our house. Additionally, he not only took the time to make sure that we knew how to work the system when he left, but also explained the reasons that he installed it differently than the original installation. The price for the installation was also more competitive than the other service providers that we were matched with for the job."

"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"Todd Yeates, the owner of Accurate Home Repair, did the installation, and the door looks great. He fitted it in well so that it seals nicely and closes easily. He was very professional and I am happy with both the results and the reasonable cost."

"Went GREAT. There were previous problems with our outdoor faucet. When used it would wet the basement floor and the sump pump would run. We bought this house 4 months ago and the wall HAD been opened there before and closed back up. When Joe & Matt opened it again we all saw Why it had been closed back up with the work not having been done... It was a HARD job. The faucet pipe had a stress hole in it likely from previous freezing yes, but the extenuating issue was that the pipe was very close to a 2x4 and very hard to work around, so the PAST plumber just closed it up UNDONE for us to find later. Enter Joe & Matt from Brothers Unlimited. They opened the wall removed and replaced a section of the 2x4 and put in a beautiful new faucet and offered to come back to fix the wall after it dried too. And they did it all for the Angies List price of $225. I know this is usually a $300 or so job (even without the "issues"). So I was VERY happy. They also came back and installed a whole house water filter for us too. And we have other work that they will hopefully be doing as soon as their schedule allows. We are very happy with their manner, their prices, abilities and their work and we highly recommend them. Jeff & Wilbert"

FAQs for thermostat installation and replacement projects in Yorkville, IL

Smart thermostats may be worth it for many homeowners. They come with various features, including voice control and smartphone apps. Vacation mode can help lower energy usage when you’re out of town for an extended period. Alert warnings let you know about major spikes or drops in temperature. Smartphone apps can track energy usage, and smart thermostats can learn your routine over time to adjust your temperature and reduce wasted energy consumption automatically.

You typically do not need more than one smart thermostat. While it’s common to see multiple mechanical thermostats throughout a large home, multiple smart thermostats may try to override each other. This can lead to problems with the HVAC system. Ensure the unit you buy has the option for dual- or multi-zoned systems to avoid compatibility issues.

Installing a programmable or smart thermostat may save you $180 per year in utility costs. A big part of this comes from a smart thermostat’s ability to learn and adapt to your regular routines. With smartphone apps or web-based interfaces, you also have the option to control your thermostat when you’re not home.
