"Short: Had them replace my upstairs full HVAC system, completely walked through all possible options to make it perfect and extremely happy with every single employee that I came in contact with from Jon the owner, to Jordy the air flow expert to the installers Wayne and Kevin. Long: We had a different AC company come out for a tune up, they said that our blower needed to be replaced and that there was mold found. It was going to be close to $1k to replace so I started looking at replacing the whole system since it was 10 years old. Comfort Monster came out and actually showed me the system and that there wasn't any mold or growth that he could find. He told me in his opinion the system looked exactly like a 10 year old system should and there wasn't anything that needed to be done. He stated flat out he wouldn't suggest doing anything instead of trying to sell me on anything. I work from home full time and it gets really uncomfortable so I made the decision to do it anyway. Jon was in contact with me and gave me an awesome price on an amazing system. Jordy came out and walked through everything I could do to improve the system from increasing/decreasing ducts in the attic to adding a media filter. I had never heard of a media filter, but went with it because I wasn't changing my filters in the 12 foot ceilings like I should have. Installers were awesome. So courteous, they actually put down a plastic strip up our stairs so as not to track anything. In addition put down protection under the attic so as not to damage the floors. Extremely happy with the whole experience, will be recommending them to everybody."

"Overall experience was excellent.  We noticed that the air conditioning / cooling of our old HVAC system wasn't working when we first turned it on this year.  The serviceman from Alpine determined that the refrigerant fill valve was leaking, and provided an estimate to replace the valve and the refrigerant.  Since the leak had completely drained the system (it used R-22 which costs over $100 / pound), the repair was going to cost $1500 - of an old unit.  It was recommended that we consider replacing the HVAC unit.  The salesperson we met with was thorough and knowledgeable, and presented us a range of options to consider. He did steer us away from lower quality units to several higher quality options (all made by Amana), and we elected to go with a mid-range system.  The installation was performed over 1.5 days by 2 technicians (the furnace is in the basement), and the technicians were prompt, courteous, thorough and complete. I had pretty minimal cleanup to do after they had completed the job.  System is working beautifully at the 2 month mark. I would recommend them highly for their efficient service and knowledgeable advice."

"The technician said he didn't think that additional boxes were needed; that the fans were fairly light. When he installed one, it wasn't tightly mounted, and wobbled when the fan was on. He said the added box would be, if I recall correctly, over $100 more. I opted for one on a frequently-used fan, but not on the other. It is still loose. I felt like the communications on the sturdiness and price of the installation were not clear between the technician and me. Perhaps that was because the company did not offer a free estimate of the costs (however, if I went ahead with using them, the cost of the estimate would be applied to the final bill). I subsequently called the office, shared my thoughts with the receptionist, asked that she pass those on, but received no follow-up."

"We originally scheduled an appointment with ABS to come on a Wednesday in July, but they had to reschedule due to conflicting jobs -- we didn't mind much because we know it is the busiest time of year for AC service. We rescheduled for the following Monday. Adam and his trainee were very courteous, explained everything to me and seemed thorough, and even wore shoe covers when in the house. They showed me the readings on our compressors and how to tell if they were operating below capacity, and after testing them, we decided to replace them as well. Overall, the job was quick, but we are glad we were able to have them come out and give our old AC unit a good cleaning and replace the needed parts."
