I was shocked how much it cost to replace it. But I was given several options. I was told there was an issue with my vent, that there was a backdraft. I thought it was a sales pitch, so I found out how to check it my self. It was true, Carbon Monoxide was coming back into my basement. Yiikes. I went with a tankless water heater, mainly because of the warranty. The plumbers we very fast and friendly, it was complete in 5 hours. Inspection was included, of course we passed. "Could not be happier with the service I received last week. Dishwasher overflowed on Thursday, and shutoff valve to its water supply was leaking. I shut off all water to the house, and contacted PlumbTite around 5:00 PM. Dee found an appointment for Saturday. Then she contacted the dispatcher and was able to get me an earlier appointment - Friday, noon-3:00. On Friday morning at 10:00, Dee contacted me to say there was a cancellation, and Steve was able to come immediately. Steve had installed 2 new kitchen faucets for me almost 2 years ago.
