"Great work, these guys know their business. I did not think it would go so quickly and "easily" (for me) but they re-piped my house in a day. That was 3 years ago, and it has held up great. They were on time, tidy, did what they promised and gave me plumbing I can be confident about. Now over the holidays we had a plumbing issue, a small leak in an old pipe out near the meter, and they came out today and repaired it, digging when its in the 30's outside. Now that I have new pipes stem to stern from Global plumbing I can rest easy. I so appreciate that they are plumbers I can rely on."

"Konstantine Aselas came and carefully cut the CPVC to install copper piping from the back wall and fit the new pressure relief valve and the brass ball valve shutoff, anchoring the works to the side walls of the narrow closet. He tagged everything, so the installation is as neat and clear as can be. He covered all the floors before he started and made sure things were spotless when he left."

"It took a while to get our schedules aligned, but once we did Ed showed up on time and did a great job. It was his suggestion to bring the shut off valve into the pantry for easy access. The old shut off required crawling under the house about 10 feet to get to it. He also had a better idea for the heater overflow than another vendor (NW Plumbing) and at a fraction of their quote. We did end up with a very minor leak at the shut off valve, but Ed is taking care of it. <br /> We highly recommend hiring Ed for any plumbing you need. <br />"

"We went to Home Depot to look into replacing our gas hot water tank, which surprisingly lasted 24 years. We were given the number to Fast Water Heater Co and made the appointment. Adam came out, and after explaining all of the details on the pricing, got started and finished in less than two hours. Excellent service, fast and we are happy with the results."

"Robert was so sympathetic, that he called Monday evening to make sure the gas company had turned the gas back on. Then, he surprised us on Tuesday: he had enough time between appointments to come back and finish the job. He installed all new connections because the previous ones were not only wrong, but illegal. And, he installed the transition pipe with the proper floor clamp (missing when the range was originally installed). We are all delighted! Not only was Robert personable, knowledgeable and professional, the job was done perfectly and sooner than expected. (And he cleaned up!) Robert gets 6 stars on a 5-star scale."

"<p>Called on 8/9/15 regarding a on-emergent leak that I thought might be the hot water heater, and scheduled for the next day.  Was told the plumber would call before arriving, with an arrival window of between 2 and 4.  </p> <p>The plumber did NOT call ahead, but did arrive at 3pm.  I didn't get her name, (sorry about that) but she was very knowledgeable and gave me all my options without any high pressure sale.  I live in a mobile home, so the water heater is elevated about 3.5 feet off the ground.  She couldn't do the job on her own, and no one was available to come out that day.  She called the office and we rescheduled for noon the next day.  Not a problem, since it was not an emergency.  I asked her to please call ahead so I could be sure to be home when she got there.  She said she would.  </p> <p>She arrived the next day on time, but again did NOT call ahead to let me know.  Annoying, but far, far from a deal breaker. The person that was supposed to help her didn't show, but didn't mention it until the job was done, and she installed the tank BY HERSELF.   I was very impressed!   She did an excellent job, cleaned up after herself, was courteous and professional.  The job was done at the price I was quoted and in a timely manner. </p> <p>I think I've found my long term plumbing service!  In The Plumbing & Drain Co can tell who the plumber was, please give her my thanks for a job well done.  </p> <br />"

"We developed a leak inside a difficult to get to area in the rear wall that was detected while doing some other repairs on the house. South County Plumbing came out within an hour of us calling them and after spending a great deal of time trying to see if there was a quick repair, we determined that the copper drain pipes in the house had failed and several of them were paper thin or in the case of the one in our wall, it had a split in part of it. Ray (Rey?) who came out showed us all of the things that needed to be done and was highly professional. He also pointed out and showed us exactly why other work that had been done in a remodel about 9 years ago had been done incorrectly and was failing as well. While we did not expect to undertake the level of the job that we did, we are glad that they pointed out these things to us or we would have been ripping out walls in the near future. <br> <br>Work was done in a highly professional manner and while a replumb of this sort can never be not disruptive, they contained the disruption as much as possible. They were constantly offering to show us what they were doing so that we had confidence that it was being done correctly and identifying what had been done wrong (and why!) before.  <br> <br>This was not an easy job for sure, but the work was done on-time and within the margin of error of the original estimate. <br> <br>I cannot overstate how pleased we are with the work and the professionalism of their crew. We will use again without a doubt when we need plumbing work in the future."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Eatonville, WA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
