"Finally! When friends ask if I know of a reliable, honest, plumber at reasonable cost, I have found one to give as a referral in Water Field, LLC. Tes arrived on-time and assessed what was needed to correct my pipe leak problem in short order. While waiting for his repair work on the leaky pipe to cool, Tes offered to check all the other fixtures in my home to ensure everything was in order. When I mentioned one of my toilets was not properly anchored to the floor, an annoyance to me for quite some time, he fixed it at minimal cost. Water Field, LLC is now officially my go-to plumber. "Hello, I am requesting assistance from a licensed plumber/gas fitter for gas service restoration at my property: 1239 Maple Ave. Baltimore, MD 21227 BGE has determined that the prior gas service was abandoned and is now processing the project as a new gas service line and exterior meter installation. BGE will be meeting me on-site on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM to review and approve the proposed exterior meter location. I need a licensed plumber/gas fitter who can either attend that BGE site visit or come immediately afterward to evaluate the work required on the customer side of the gas system. The scope of work includes: - Inspecting the existing gas piping to determine whether any portion can be safely reused; - Extending, repairing, or replacing internal gas piping as needed; - Establishing the new customer-side gas connection point for the exterior BGE meter; - Pulling the required gas/plumbing permit; - Performing the required pressure test; - Coordinating the requir"

"EXCELLENCE! The team was amazing. We had a leak in the front yard and it took 'a minute' for the county to find our shut-off valve to determine it was our pipe. Gary from Heil came out on time to give an estimate and they were able to get Miss Utility out and do the work the same day, all in about 3 hours! They only had to dig one hole near the shut-off to replace the whole line. They also filled the hole back in AND SEEDED and put hay on top, and at my request wrapped caution tape around the area (so the area can dry out). The hole they had to drill in the wall in the basement was patched and their "Pullzit” method worked beautifully (I actually video taped it, it was awesome to see). Oh and they either took off their shoes or put on their own shoe covers when they came in the house (didn't have to ask). Thank you Gary, Ronnie, Shaun, Tatiana and everyone involved for resolving this so quickly and efficiently. We HIGHLY recommend Heil Plumbing!!"

"Wow what the best experience I have had with a plumbing company ever. I needed some work done to my well and pump so I called redline. They responded within a quickly manner and were professional. I was there when they came to look at it and when they had to come to the work they came back and were very respectful and hard workers. Everything was done in a timely manner and trustworthy employees. I had to leave and left with them there and I felt that they were good and people I could trust in my house. I can’t thank you all enough. I’m very happy with the work and I appreciate it. I will call again when I need something done. If you need anything done plumbing these are your people to call!! Amazing thank you!!"

"Very disappointing. First, they did not even attempt the repair that I requested and paid for. They claimed that the waste pipe was galvanized steel and had probably rusted shut and thus would have to be replaced. However they misdiagnosed the problem. Thus they confused the waste vent with the actual waste pipe (which is cast iron and thus not susceptible to such rusting). Had they run a snake down the drain, which I did later, it was clear that the cast iron pipe was the waste pipe. Despite having paid in advance, they said it would be another $200 to snake the drain even though clearing the drain was included in the fee. They whole thing was a complete waste of my time and a waste of a moderate amount of money. Second they did not confirm until 30 minutes into the 2 hour appointment window that they would be able to make the window. It seems reasonable that they could have informed me of ETA earlier. This is a small matter though."

"Justin has actually done a lot of work for us. He has replaced our hot water heater, a sump pump, a gas line to the fireplace, and did an inspection for our new home... plus so much more! He is such a nice guy, amazing customer service, and he does terrific work. I would definitely recommend Ecker plumbing to anyone! You will not be disappointed."

"I was impressed by how hard working and thorough the workers were. They hauled the old gas water heater out and got the new one installed promptly and did a neat job. They reconfigured an awkward gas pipe near my washing machine, replaced an exterior gas hose with a UV resistant one, and checked all gas piping including our gas fireplace. We were very pleased with the end result and appreciated the fair pricing. Highly recommend."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Glenwood, MD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
