"Ken was able to promptly replace the part that needed to be changed out.  Ken has done a number of plumbing jobs for us, including leaking faucets and backed up pipes. Prior to using Burris Brothers, we went  through a half dozen different plumbers who we never really felt like calling back. But Ken has worked for our neighbor over 20 years and the referral was greatly appreciated. <br>"

"Roland and his crew were always punctual and extremely courteous in my home. They were also diligent in making it as clean as possible given the obvious mess because I had to stay at my house for part of the work. Roland listened and understood my wants and fulfilled my expectations. Iâ m looking forward to hiring him again for my next project!"

"This was a large job as I had slab leaks and needed to re-pipe the first floor. The job took 3 days and the work was done to perfection. I am really, really picky so this says a lot. I did go out for bids on this project and Good Guys Plumbing was very competitive. I would not hesitate to call Good Guys Plumbing for future work or recommend to anyone. Today, I did recommend Good Guys Plumbing to my neighbor. Try Good Guys Plumbing and you will see."

"Jose is very competent at his job and courteous. He explained all that need to be done and also giving me options and for me to decide. He cleaned up afterwards. Cost was reasonable considering the amount of work performed. I would definitely recommend them especially for gas plumbing issues. Because researching for someone to work on gas plumbing needs to be certified. Not all plumbers work on gas lines."

"I called at 8:15 a.m., explained that I had a leak between the water shut-off to the house and the connection pipe to the yard's sprinkler system.  They were able to schedule someone to be there between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. that day but said it would probably be between 9:00 and 9:30.  Sure enough, the plumber arrived about 9:15, quickly assessed the problem, explained clearly what needed to be done and how much it would cost, and did a fantastic job of replacing the leaking pipes and made the installation much better than it had been when originally installed. He also noticed that there was a leak between the faucet and where I attach the hose and he tightened and sealed this connection so it no longer leaks.   He cleaned everything up when he finished.  I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price and that this was truly a "professional craftsman".  Terrific job!"

Customers say: Quick response

"I stared to look for a plumber after I found water under my water heater. I jumped on Angi and posted my issue. With in minutes....Art messaged me and said he can be her 1st thing in the morning. BTW. This was 10pm at night. His quick response was a plus for me. I had one other respond but he over extended himself to my need. He came at 7amd and said....you need a new water heater. I can got get one and install it now. I was a bit reluctant and he said call me when your ready and left. My wife said his prices looked fair and he seemed like a good plumber. I called him back and said lets dance. He was back at my home in a hour and 1/2...and started the work. He protected my carpet and placed plastic on it. He warned my that maybe the cost might go up due to the age of the pipes and valves. He had the old one out and the new one in an an hour or so. He was quick, clean and polite. I paid him and shuck his hand. I recommend Art for your household plumbing needs. He was excellent."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Harbor City, CA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
