"We wanted to extend and screen enclose our patio so we could better enjoy sitting outside without those annoying flies pestering us. We decided to hire Sun Boss because of their longevity and reputation in the industry. David Kain from Sun Boss was very thorough in presenting all the options to us. David was also very helpful meeting with our HOA design review committee to offer extension design options that could be approved in our community. Thanks to David's efforts, we did get approval. Our patio roof was extended six feet by twenty-four feet. All the material used is of high quality construction and an attractive appeal sandstone color that coordinated naturally with the color of our house. Donn Stanley from Sun Boss was very dependable. He kept us updated throughout the project in coordinating material delivery, the workload, permits and invoices. David Shelby, Sun Boss installer, was absolutely a true professional and very skilled in the construction of our custom project. He cleaned up at the end of each day (seven days total). David was very meticulous making sure every detail was done correctly. He would always stop to answer any concerns we had during the installation. There were a few minor issues that had to be corrected, however Sun Boss and David Shelby did not hesitate to come back and make it right. We measure a good company not only by a quality product, but also by how well they respond to issues or concerns. Sun Boss definitely provided both with excellent customer service. We are really enjoying our patio now. And, with the positive experience we had, can highly recommend Sun Boss."

"We just had Progressive Builders install new granite counters and a tumbled stone back splash in our kitchen and I couldn't be happier with how it all went. Eric was super responsive from the first time I called through to the very end of the job. We were impressed with the care they took to cover our wood and marble floors and they were super clean throughout the project. They really know their stuff, from the fabrication of the granite all they way through to the design and layout of the back splash. Communication was excellent with all the guys. The end result is beautiful!"

"I had an issue with my garbage disposal and my faucet. My faucet has a long hose that pulls out. The guy actually couldn't figure out the hose, and it works worse than it did. The garbage disposal installation was fine, but as far as the faucet, it's wobbly. He couldn't get the hose to retract and extend. The sprayer where you can shift it between the stream and the spray that was working before he worked on it, and not working after he left. The garbage disposal looks great and everything works fine. He couldn't manage to reinstall a faucet on my kitchen sink.

I knew that it wasn't going to take very long and had considered doing it myself. I had an issue with my arm and didn't want to exacerbate that. I though while he was down there disconnecting stuff, he could troubleshoot the hose getting stuck, and he couldn't. He tried to get me to pay $125 a piece to replace ankle stops, which turns the water on and off from the hoses for your hot and cold. He turned it, and it leaks a little dribble down and said it needed to be replaced. I knew what he was doing and he quotes me $250 to replace those and you can change them for under $10. They are the easiest things to do. I wasn't appreciating the professionalism with that.

I didn't pay more than the Big Deal. It was only for two hours worth of work. I knew the installation of my garbage disposal wasn't going to cost more than $200. I made the arrangements before they came out, I didn't spring it on them. I notified them in advance what I needed to get done.

The garbage disposal was an "A", but making something I had not working as well as it should even worse, and then trying to sell me something for an arm and a leg that wasn't really broken would've been an "F".

They were on time and notified me when they were on their way. They didn't take very long to complete the job. They left it clean. I think they should be able to troubleshoot a fairly new faucet. Anybody who's fairly handy could install something like that. They couldn't troubleshoot what was wrong with it and it wasn't technically broken. It was a fairly new product that got jammed, maybe by the way it was connected, may have tangled to the point that it just wasn't pulling out and going back smoothly. I think that would've been plumbing 101, first day on the job, that level of education. I would've expected any plumber to be able to solve that issue and they did not. I don't have a lot of good to say about that. I don't have a $500 faucet in there, but it wasn't a junk item, and had only been in there for about a year.

I don't think it's professional to try and rip off a customer. You won't build a customer base with that dishonesty.

"Zohar at Best Builders Group came out to our house in order to check and see how and what to change in the existing kitchen. Zohar and his team of people did a wonderful remodeling job from A to Z. We were very impressed and surprised from the high quality of the work and from the professionalism of the workers. During the work, several issues came up during the remodeling project but the team and Zohar handled all of them with no effect to the completion date and with no additional cost. We are looking forward to hire them soon and to remodel all of our bathrooms."

"I couldn't have handled everything required to dry out the wood and avoid any mold issues by myself at that time, let alone get all the Information required to the insurance company and negotiate with them. Because of Bryan I didnt have to. He took over and arranged everything. He recommended a company to do all work required to tear out the drywall, assess for asbestos, set up the fans in both units, and make sure they identified all the damage and got it dried out. He had the company partner call me and explain their process and why he was sending in one of his foremen....because his house was undergoing a more extensive repair at the time. Bryan interfaced setting up the timing so the repair went as smoothly and quickly as possible and, because of his relationship with the company they merely put a claim on the insurance monies when they arrived. Bryan even hired a packing company to send in a crew to pack up everything in my tenant's kitchen where most of the upstairs damage occurred and my living room and bathroom. The only unpleasant experience I had was American Craftsman, the moving company They packed everything without asking and put it God knows where. The woman who packed my bathroom told me she'd left everything from below my sink under the dining room table believing I would need access to it. When I looked I realized I had no idea where all my shower tools were or the stuff I use from my medicine cabinet. What she gave me access to was cleaning supplies! Then they didn't speak to my tenants, who were on sight, but merely packed up their kitchen and took it all with them to put in their storage. This included utensils, the microwave, the coffee maker and the toaster! The tenants were furious and refused to pay rent from then on. And when the walls and floors were dried out American Craftsman refused to return any stored items until their bill was paid! The most expensive payment of the entire clean up was USELESS. Their portion of the insurance proceeds was well over $7,000! The asbestos and dry out cost $1,500 less and actually did something for their money. By October I collected my insurance check for nearly $36,000. Then the fun began with getting everyone with a claim on the money to sign the check and find that Chase Mortgage seized the entire amount and would only give me 1/3 of the total when I satisfied them I was doing everything their way. So I paid $13,000 to the emergency services out of my pocket and the $5,400 to my private adjuster and when I asked Chase to reimburse me they said no. That's where the real fun begins so if you have a good relationship with anybody with power to threaten your mortgage company use them to get your money so you can hire a contractor to rebuild! Chase wants to see the proof of rebuilding BEFORE they release the money. Best part of my whole experience was Bryan and Goodroad and Gat.

FAQs for walk in tub installation and replacement projects in Highland, CA

Because Medicare classifies walk-in tubs as non-durable medical equipment, it generally won’t pick up the tab. Medicaid can help if a doctor certifies that the tub is medically necessary, but rules change by state. Call your plan early, ask which forms you need, and keep any prescriptions or letters on file to improve your odds of reimbursement.

A walk-in bathtub’s fill and drain times hinge on your home’s water pressure and the tub’s hardware. Most models with a fast-fill faucet need about six to eight minutes to fill and two to three minutes to drain; larger basins or standard drains can tack on an extra 10 minutes. Stay seated until the water is completely gone so you don’t swing the door open on a full tub’s worth of water.

A walk-in bathtub holds 50 gallons of water, and its design supports capacities that range from 40 to 80 gallons, depending on the product. In contrast, a standard bathtub holds 25 to 45 gallons. This capacity is determined by the fixed design of the tub and its construction materials. Homeowners should review the detailed product specifications to confirm the exact volume available for use during bath time.

Walk-in tubs are tax-deductible when the purchase qualifies as a necessary medical expense and meets the IRS criteria. Caregivers who install a walk-in tub also qualify for the Dependent Care Tax Credit under specific conditions. Homeowners must verify these requirements with the IRS and consult a tax professional, as state and program guidelines enforce strict documentation standards for such deductions.
