"Turned on the AC this morning to find out was blowing hot air, called up a few different companies who wanted minimum 100 bucks to come out blah blah blah, called up Markool and got connected with a technician. The technician helped me troubleshoot the issue, and have me a quick fix that will last until they make it out tomorrow to do the permanent fix. I'll be using them for all my AC needs in the future!"

"Excellent service by MarKool. First it is a small company so when you call them you talk directly to the person doing the work. Second they are highly responsive. Third at the home they are very personable and answer all questions in detail. Fourth In fixing my problem they showed they are highly skilled and experienced in HVAC in this case as it pertains to gas furnace operation."

"These guys were so professional! They even removed their shoes before coming in my house. They air tested my gas lines, following repairs by Mtneer Gas. Very thorough, very kind and very good work! They were not cheap, but still reasonable! I strongly recommend them!"

"A&T was very dedicated and professional. The job turned out to be much harder than they had estimated and it took almost 14 hours to complete due to complications. The team stuck it out to ensure that we would have heat for the night and that everything was complete and in working order.

"We’re very happy to have contacted Junior’s Plumbing! After speaking with Michelle on the phone in the morning, the work was completed to our satisfaction that very afternoon! Joshua Eldridge, the plumbing technician came out and was very professional and knowledgeable. He made sure that when he started, he was going to complete the work that very same day! He paid attention to details and took that extra time to install our new house hydrant correctly. We’ve had disappointments in the past with contractors coming out and not completing on time or performing unsatisfactory work, but Junior’s Plumbing did an excellent job. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for your plumbing needs."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Knoxville, MD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
