"To start this whole debacle, I am in the military and I'm leaving for training (2 week course) in a few days. My wife has breast cancer and is slow to get around. I'm having a whole-home generator installed so that my wife and kids are protected while I'm gone during some of the coldest weather we were supposed to have in our area so far this year. To facilitate this new generator, a new gas meter is required. So, Columbia Gas replaced our gas meter and afterwards the gas line failed their pressure test. Subsequently, our gas was turned off and suddenly we have no heat or hot water! I have to admit that I was suspicious of the gas company because we have lived in this house for 10 years and never knew we had a "leak" until then. Columbia Gas says the only way to get the gas back on is to have a plumber or HVAC company test and repair the leaking gas line. After speaking with a few other plumbers/HVAC companies (all of which were unavailable until 2 days later) that were "recommended", I Googled all local HVAC companies and started with Jordan Mechanical as they had the highest ratings in our area (and for good reason!). The young lady answering the phone immediately told me "not to worry, we'll find someone for you...you can't go without heat or hot water!" I was thankful for her response. She called me back within 5 minutes and said she had a technician in route. They showed up and walked me through their gas line testing process while they were doing it, and sure enough I could see each and every leak in the line!! How that line leaked without causing any trouble is beyond me. So the technician says he'll be back the next morning (it was late in the evening when they came out) by 09:00 to start the work...folks, he was there 10 minutes early. So to make a long story short, they replaced the lines and couldn't have done a better job instilling confidence with me! From the first phone call I made to Jordan Mechanical, until the job was finished, they were some of the most courteous, technical, and professional folks I've ever had to deal with, hands down! If you're in need of any type of home A/C, plumbing, electrical AND gas line work, in my honest opinion, you're best choice is Jordan Mechanical!"

He should have caught that we needed freon because we had to call him back and he couldn't come back for a couple of days or so. We were having trouble with the air conditioning and it was hot. But he was fine and we would use him again. The guy who came was young. Maybe if an older man that's been there for 30 years probably would have caught that right away."
