"The service person Michael was very professional and did a great job in finishing the work as promised. He replaced the entire piping system in my basement. In addition, installed a water filtering system to improve overall water quality to the entire house. I am very satisfied with his work and would recommend him to anyone! In addition, he and his helper cleaned up the basement as clean and neat as possible. No mess no fuss. Highly recommended!"

"We received excellent service from NILES HULL, who performed a pipe repair for a hose attachment in our driveway. The job was $533, and was done well, with pleasant, knowledgeable service. I highly recommend Harris as we've used them for many plumbing and electric projects in recent years. NILES HULL was knowledgeable, caring, and attentive to detail. They stand behind their work. "Ryan and Cody was great and very easy to work with. I had Ryan run a gas line from basement main to the kitchen for a gas stove. He was very accommodating and made minimal impact to my dry wall ceiling. I would absolutely hire him again for any future gas line additions or plumbing work."

"Sink was COMPLETELY stopped up. Service person (Doug) seemed to be nice; first emptying the sink of water, then getting out his snake to get to work. Shortly, from another room, I heard moans and groans from the kitchen. Asking what was wrong, I learned that his snake had gotten stuck and he couldn't get it out. He went downstairs to the basement to work on trying to retrieve the snake cable from the cleanout down there, below the sink. He told me that on occasion, he's had to take out pipes between the kitchen sink and the basement sewer line in order to get his cable back, and that would cost upwards of above $600. He eventually retrieved his cable, but explained that it had gotten stuck because I had allowed the buildup of years and years of grease in the kitchen, and because I was foolish enough to have a garbage disposal, which allows the grease to build. He told me he had a drain cleaning powder that I could use to keep the drain clean, and one box would cost $50. I thanked him, but refused the offer. He did make it so the water would indeed go down the drain in the sink, now, and I can use my dishwasher. He was at the house for approximately 1 hr and 15 minutes, charging $457.50. Excessive, in my opinion. It's not my fault that his snake was caught (if it really was).
Is the drain clean? Cleaner than it was this morning, yes.
Will water go down? Yes. For now.
Would I recommend anyone using Chas. Moon Plumbing? Not unless you have a healthy bank account.
Will I ever call on them again? No.
UPDATE:
Moon & Company called today (Service Manager) and graciously offered a 15% discount for the service that I had here at the house, as described above. I thought that was very nice and generous of him/the company, and promised that I would report same.

"The heat exchanger on our 23 year old high efficiency gas heater got a 4 inch crack in it which means it was leaking carbon monoxide. It also meant we had to replace the heater and the central air conditioner. After figuring out which make and model new gas heater and air conditioner we wanted, we got 3 estimates for exactly the same units. Murphy gave us the best price and even charged $825 less than another company wanted to install an ultraviolet light in the system which kills germs, bacteria, mold and mildew since I have really bad allergies.
Tito and Mike from Murphy's arrived exactly on time. The installation went in beautifully especially since two other companies said we would have to remove paneling from our rec room which had been built AFTER the original heater was installed 23 years ago. This would be a really hard thing to do.
Well, Tito worked his magic and we DID NOT have to rip our rec room apart to run lines to the air conditioner which exited the outside wall behind the paneling, a place hard to get at. What professionals! Both men were pleasant, courteous, and professional. Everything was left neat and clean.
We love our new heater. It runs so quietly we don't even know it is running. Quite a difference from the old furnace.
Would we use them again, yes, and we did for a plumbing problem we discovered while making room for the old heater to go out and the new one to come in..

"Brian was great (unclogged a pretty bad kitchen pipe). He came with a new trainee and seemed to be teaching him a lot of little details and tips/tricks. He was prompt and gave me helpful info to avoid cloggs in the future. Make sure you get Brian if you call Byrd's Nest, specifically request him and you will be fine. He adjusted my price as the first plumber in his co. came uprepared a day earlier. Brian was fair and I would hire him again for any plumbing need."
