"as installed in 2010, which is correctThe plumbers did arrive about 1 hour and 40 minutes into the 2 hour window.  I explained the problem.  They asked me to show where the drain went in the basement.  They estimated it was about 55 feet from the kitchen sink that would need to be cleaned.  They said they would perform a whole house plumbing inspection while there.  While one plumber worked on the drain the other checked for natural gas leaks, there were none, and checked the water heater.  They told me the water heater was installed in 2010, which is correct.  He also told me the anode rod needed replacing.  I googled anode rods and found 2 references from plumbing supply companies that verified everything he told me.  They also sold me an enzyme to maintain the drain.

"LOVE Spengler. They came out the same day that I called and he capped off the outside faucet pipe so I could turn the water back on to the rest of my house. In 2 days, they will come back and finish the repair and insulate the pipes. I called Reeds 24hr Plumbing & Drain and the lady that I spoke with on the phone said she would get a technician to call me back immediately. within minutes I was contacted and the gentleman told me what to do to get the gas shut off till he arrived. I was really surprised that he said he was in the area and would be here with-in 1hr or less. He showed up in less then 30 min. He was very nice and located the leak very quickly. I was given a price before he did any work and he told me  exactly what the problem was and what he was going to do to fix it.. It took him a little less then an hour and was clean, courteous and  friendly.
