"The water control handle in our shower was becoming harder and harder to turn off, so on a Saturday we took it apart and tried, with the advice of our local Ace hardware folks, to pull the cartridge.  To do this we had to turn off all the water to the house; it's an old house and the access door we had only let us turn off water to the tub.  So, when it turned out that the job was beyond our skill level, we had no water in the house and couldn't turn it back on because, well, let's just say that we tried it and the bathroom is very well-rinsed now. So, I called Valle Plumbing, left a message, and received a call-back within half an hour.  (Remember, this is a Saturday we're talking about here.)  Dave Valle came out, sawed an access hole to the shower controls through the spare bedroom's wall and installed shut-off valves for the hot and cold lines.  We went to choose a fixture to replace the old one, and Dave came back out on Monday to install it. He was courteous and professional the entire time, explained what he needed to do and then did it with neatness and dispatch. He arrived when he said he would and was ready to work.  We will have to get a carpenter in to install a frame and a little door in the access hole, so that will be an additional expense, but we think that it is a necessary one.  It's good to be able to shut off the water to the shower without having to shut off the water to the whole house! The $35 Angie's List coupon didn't hurt, either.  We had already printed it, but Dave reminded us to do so, so that's another thumbs up."
