"Don was wonderful to work with. He did a great job getting my Main shutoff replaced. But when we turned the water back on no water was coming thru. That's when we discover a section of galvanized pipe. So Don also unexpectedly replace a section of my waterline for me which solved the problem but did add more to the price. But it was well worth it. I got my bad water shut off fixed and with that section of pipe replaced I now have 3x better water presser in my home. Highly Recommend DJ's for your plumbing needs and will use them in the future if I ever need to."

"I had an old water heater (was in the house when I moved in about 20 years ago) and it started to leak. After shutting off the water to the water heater, I did a little Angie's List research to find a company to do the replacement. I called a couple and decided to use Randy Lane, based on cost and my interaction with them, which I felt was cordial and helpful, and made an appointment.
The service person arrived on time on the day of the appointment and went to work. He disconnected the old heater and hauled it out. The new heater was brought in and he did the needed plumbing work to connect the water and also made the natural gas connections. He fired up the unit and briefed me on the new unit - how to turn-off the water and gas, if needed, temperature, etc.
The area was left in the same condition as when he arrived.

They went above and beyond by coordinating the installation of several appliances at one time even though the company we purchased from said we couldn't do that. Michelle, the office manager, was wonderfully helpful in the coordination of everything, and their installers, Oakly and Jordan, did an amazing job of installing all the appliances and took the time to explain the operation to us. "Even though I have read some negative comments about their plumbing's prices, I wanted to give them a chance as I had a fairly good experience on the HVAC side. Unfortunately, I am afraid the comments were right! I called them for a leak in my basement related to a water drain from the second floor bathrooms. Before starting, Matt explain to me he had to go through a "pluming diagnostics" of the entire house and systems that is a flat fee of $497 (based on the age of the house) for: Unlimited Time to find the problem, One level 1 to 2 repair included with diagnostic, performance check, whole home water quality analysis, including chlorine, water hardness, and total dissolved solids, confirmation that system is safe, reliable, and energy efficient, Applies to equipment 6-20+ years old, main drain, water pressure/water temperature over 1500 sqft, tankless water heater. Basically a fee to "find the leak" and anything else that could be wrong in my house in order to give me suggestions for additional repairs that go on top of the "diagnostic fee", unless it is a level 1 or 2 repair that you probably never have anyway...! I my case Matt's listed 3 options: - $4.193 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses, install pressure valve and new 50 Gal water heater) - $1.467 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses, install pressure valve). Meaning $2.726 for the water heater alone. Or $631 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses). Meaning $836 for the pressure valve alone! I told him I could do the machine hoses myself and asked him how much it would be just to fix the leak => $364. That means the charge to change 2 $10 hoses is $267!! By the way, they don't deduct the $79 service call if you are not part of the Membership Program, charge an additional $14 for "Transfer Fuel Surcharge" and didn't discount the $50 coupon. Bottom line my invoice was $497 + $79 + $14 + $364 = $954. Fortunately, I talked to Kristy from Customer Service the following day and got the $50 coupon applied and got an additional $50 off after my open and direct discussion with her. Thank you Kristy. Still, I believe the all process was a bit complicated for a leak and would have to try a different plumber next time. Further more, what's going on with the "Plumbing Diagnostic" fee if they have to come again later on during the year for another issue? I surely wouldn't need another "check" of my entire house..."
