He suggested using a smaller expansion tank as he said the one originally installed was bigger than it needed to be. Going with the smaller tank saved me $400. He said that he would have the tank the next day. The repair guys showed up right on time and got to work immediately. They had the old tank out and the new one in in a very short time. I was given an explanation of what to expect since the pipes had been disconnected and reconnected and not to be alarmed about spits and sputters and dirty looking water. I ran all of the faucets in the house and everything turned out fine. They were very conscientious about cleaning up after themselves.
