"The job was done quickly efficiently and neatly in a 1903 house where leveling and a stiff floor was essential. Working on older houses can prove challenging. A previous contractor's job was so poor the tile had to be torn out and thrown away. The new installation looks like new construction, It is solid and level. Mr. Rodriguez was consistently polite and cooperative. He did preparation and cleanup work that was not required in the contract. He also made suggestions and did work that involved significant amounts of time and labor without asking for increased compensation. We have already asked him if he would undertake other projects with us."

"Frank is definitely not your typical contractor. He actually calls you back, emails you when you send him a note and texts back when you just need a quick answer to something. He's proactive with the timeline and finishes the job on time. From the moment my husband and I sent AMS an email, we knew he was going to be great - then I met him, and instantly liked and trusted him. When we weren't sure what to do with layout, floor choices/finishing options, etc. he was on point with his advice and we're so glad we listened to him.
We initially thought we could handle the electric (there were NO lights in the ceiling), but after further examination, we last minute decided to use his electricians - they were there the next day. What's great is that for each step in the project, he had a lot of guys just bust the work out. Most things were done within a day or two, and the 2-3 week timeline for everything, start to finish was spot on.

"The refinishing of the floors went without a hitch. Our house has four sets of stairs that have 6 landings and all of the stairs were carpeted when the house was built. When Tony's team took up the carpet on the stairs we discovered that the builder had made the steps and risers of white wood but the landings were press board which would look terrible painted.  Tony and his team then had to install 6 small floors, one on each landing, before the painting could proceed.  Once the floors were installed the steps and railings were painted but in doing so we discovered that  the sides of the steps need repainting because of the carpet removal. Tony's team then returned to repaint the sides of the steps. Tony and his team members are professional and courteous and are very customer focused and as a result will do whatever is needed to make sure the customer is satisfied.

"We previously used Ruxton for our bathroom remodel a few years ago and they did a wonderful job. We recently called them back to help us with improving our kitchen. We weren't sure if we wanted a complete remodel or just a refresh. Frank came in and gave us some great ideas and made it worth going with a complete remodel and design. He spent a few days doing the design and we met with him at his new showroom. As in the past, he did not disappoint. His design and ideas for our kitchen were great! My kitchen looks amazing! The work was completed on time and at the budget we were aiming for. The workers were on time and very polite. "Vince called me back within hours of my sending him a message through Angie's List.  Even though he does not list Montgomery County as one of his service areas, he was completely willing to help us out.  In my message, I had requested the work to be done onsite but Vince explained why having him pick up the generator and take it back to his shop to work on it would make more sense.  His charge for pick-up and delivery back to us was only $34.95.
When Vince came to pick up the generator, he was on time and was able to give me a ballpark cost for the work (which turned out to be very accurate).  He said that he could get it back to us in 3-4 days but I asked if he could do it faster as there was a snow storm predicted for the next day or so.  Vince agreed to a shorter time line and ultimately got the generator back to us within 1 day!  There ended up being no snow storm but we got our generator back in working condition - along with a booklet of care instructions, a copy of our invoice, and a service history form.  A few days later we received a hand-written Thank You card in appreciation of our business.  I can't imagine how the service could have been any better.  We will use Vince for any future small engine repairs/maintenance we have and highly recommend him and his services.
